Review: Turk is sent out to discover who is dealing crappy weed under The Bare Bones clubs weed name, but takes a chance to catch up with his lover and discovers him in a compromising position. Turk catches up with the man who turned his lovers head later at the Laughlin River Run and gives him a mighty beatdown, and gets one in return. Lock is just trying to catch a bounty when he gets worked up and decides to relieve some of the tension; he doesn’t expect it to come back on him days later with a beatdown even if the one doing the beatdown is a hunk of a man. Denying their attraction is impossible but the game they play is deadly and now both Tuck and Lock find themselves blackmailed by Stumpy, Lock’s sergeant-at-arms, which brings them to the attention of drug kingpin Carmine Rojas and that’s when things get really dangerous.

This is a pretty good MC story that shows the unashamed dealings of these bikers, it shows you the macho world they live in and the dangers of stepping out of the biker mould. Turk has basically grown up in his biker club The Bare Bones but has hidden his true needs for a man from everyone, Lock entered the Assassins of Youth after he left the air force he’s hidden his need for men even from himself but meeting Turk has his need breaking free. Their relationship is intense and physical, their need beats at them, their passion is unmatched and they strike sparks off each other.

I quite enjoyed this story, although I cringed and rolled my eyes at some scenes but I’ll got into that in a bit, first let me talk about the storyline. Turk and Lock get blackmailed when they get caught together by Stumpy, now Stumpy is a thoroughly unlikeable man but he got the drop on both Turk and Lock and as far as he’s concerned they will pay his price. Turk and Lock then get dragged into very unpleasant business through Stumpy’s double crossing and Turk is placed in a very dangerous position. Turk’s need for revenge gets satisfied with Lock’s aid and both men now have to make plans for the future and that is where The Bent Zealots is born. Now this storyline kept me reading as it had lashings of danger and revenge, there was action and we saw Lock and Turk opening up to each other a bit so we got to know both of them quite well.

Now we come to the bit that I cringed at, beating up a teenager, it didn’t endear Lock to me in anyway shape or form… who gives a crap if Lock is a big bad biker it made him look to me a big fat bully, he could have easily restrained the teenager but nooooo the big bad guy just had to beat the crap out of the teenager. And then we where I rolled my eyes… some of the sex, now while there was many hot and horny scenes there were a couple of scenes that were physically impossible for any man… because no man’s tongue is that long, especially when the other man is facing him with his jeans around his knees!! The actual sexual relationship between Turk and Lock is nearly one sided, as in Turk gives and Lock takes it as his due, it does begin to get better as Lock begins to open up and accept his sexuality but still I found it hard to believe that they were declaring their love after only two weeks, a high stress situation and a couple of hot moments between them. But I think it’s a good starting point for both of them.

I recommend this to those who love Bikers, danger, revenge, hot sex, relationships beginning and forging ahead to a new future.
