Blurb: Jake Tanner is a gay asexual man who finds peace on his small Australian farm and is content to lead a quiet life taking care of his animals. Then a random act of kindness on his part sets in motion a complex series of events that results in him playing the piano in a local pub and meeting Damien Jamieson, a sexy gay biker with a penchant for leather.

Damien finds Jake instantly irresistible, but that could be the worst thing for their budding relationship, as Damien is determined to bed the reluctant Jake. However, Jake has no intention of going along with his plan.

If there’s a chance for anything between them, Damien will have to figure out how to turn Jake on without scaring him off.

Review: This was the first book I have read by this author and was quite surprised. I looked at the title first and though that it sounded good. Then I looked at the cover and was given a different look at the story. It doesn’t actually give you a good picture of the story itself. So the cover threw me off a bit. Then I read the blurb and thought that it would be a good story to get lost in.

What threw me the most with this story was the fact that Jake was not attracted to Damien the way one would think. He is in fact asexual. So not knowing really what that meant, made for me the story a little off. Jake is interested in getting to know him, but he doesn’t want him the way one would think.

Damien on the other hand wants Jake really bad. He wants to not only get to know him, but be with him. He is even willing to try to give Jake the time he would need. Though the whole story just seemed off because of it all.

I was fascinated to find out about asexuals and all of the stigma that seemed to go with it, but for me it was a drag. I want a love story with more desires, passion in all sorts of parts, and actually showing it. There is not a lot of heat for me. Although I was glad when Jake found out more about what he was, what to call his feelings. I don’t even know how to put that without sounding wrong.

This author has always given a story that captivates you and keeps your attention. For me however it didn’t actually give me what I wanted in a story. I was a bit lost throughout it all, and realized what I liked more and what I didn’t like about it. The characters however were beautifully written and you can tell that they have big hearts.

In fact you can tell that the author took his time and wrote with all his feelings for the story. For me that made it a lot more attractive, then those who just write for the pay. The story was written to captivate the readers and keep their attention. I would definitely recommend it to others.
