Review: Lucas had saved his mate from the one of the men of Bud’s pack or rogues, only to lose him when Charlie panicked. Mates cannot stand to be apart for very long before they start to hurt. Ten long days go by and Lucas is going out of his mind, so while taking a walk in the woods behind the house, he is rewarded when Charlie returned. Lucas lets Charlie know that he doesn’t have to have sex with Lucas unless he wants to. That they could take the friendship stance, but Charlie says friends with benefits sound better, only to have Lucas change it to Alpha with benefits. When one of Charlie’s former kidnappers becomes desperate to get him back, Lucas realizes he will fight even to the death for the one he loves. I loved this book and cannot wait to read the next book.
