Blurb: Dane Fairfax belongs to a submissive group called Prim. Most call him naïve and Dane is always there to help whenever his alpha needs him. But Dane isn’t so wide-eyed when it comes to powerful males. He has his sights set on Syn Bourne and Dane is determined to make the man his.

Syn isn’t so sure the mission his brother hands him is wise. He balks at the idea when Talyn tells him that he’s to take Dane along with him. It’s going to be hard enough to watch his own back and now he has Dane to look out for. When Dane is hurt and nearly dies, Syn meets a powerful and dangerous man who offers to heal Dane…for a price.

The journey is dangerous and Syn prays he can protect Dane, but what starts out as a mission for allies turns into deep passion that scorches even the hottest of summer nights.

Review: Each book in the Primal Heat collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Dane is my absolute favorite prim in this series. He is the type that comes up to you and ask for a hug. Or if you look like you need a hug, he will try to give you one. He has such a big heart and tender feelings that you want to wrap him up and hold him safe.

The other prims are such asses to him that you want to smack the crap out of them. Dane has wanted Syn from the moment he saw him, but instead of saying something he just runs from Syn. He is so damn fragile that he comes off as more than just a submissive. There is just something about him that pulls you to him.

Syn on the other hand is a strong cat, but he is just the mechanic back home. He has wanted Dane from the start also, but every time he got close Dane would run. Then his father and brother came up with a very bad idea and it turns out that it is his father’s doing.

He thinks there is a war coming and he wants Syn to go to the vampires and wolves to ask for help. What he is hoping for is war. He wants to send Dane with Syn. When Dane is hurt and dying, Syn takes the help from a vampire that might just hurt them all. Syn will do anything and everything to keep his mate safe.

There is something about the way that Lynn tells a story that will not only draw you in and keep your attention the whole time, but it will more than likely have you laughing your ass off at parts of it. Although this one is a bit different because of Dane, I absolutely loved it. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives.

I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series. One that I will have to read over and over. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. It was the perfect story for me and I loved it. I can’t wait to read the next story.

What makes it even better is that the mates can get pregnant. There is nothing better than a male having to go through labor to me. When Lynn puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.
