Now, while investigating Ben’s murder, Jessie is caught between people who would kill to protect their secrets and others who should be dead but aren’t, and who instead hunger for human flesh.

Review: First off, I must say I don’t much care for stories that come off dark. I am also not a fan of dark fantasy, science fiction or thrillers. They tend to creep me out. However for some reason the blurb and title just popped out at me. So of course I was captured. I just had to start reading it. I am glad that I took the chance. Although it still kept me creeped out through it all.

If you’re into zombies, then this is probably a story for you. I did find some of it humorous though. Senergine thought they could kill cancer by using nannites. The problem was they mutated and when a person died, they seemed to come back as zombies.

Jessie had been asked by his cousin Ben to come over. He had not expected to come over and find out that Ben had been murdered. Also to find out the ones that died came back to life, well sort of. His relationship with Mathew had been strained. Their relationship had come to an end. However it was Mathew who came to him.

Mathew had worked for Senergine and had been upset when Jessie had not believed him about the nannites. However the fact that the dead were coming back to life, had Mathew changing his mind. He still loved his man and now he needed to find a way to save him.

I had a blast reading this story and look forward to reading more by this amazing author. It was still a bit creepy though.

I was quite surprised by it and would definitely recommend it to others.
