Blurb: In a world where everyone was against them, they needed a Miracle. What no one had expected was to find their salvation in an abandoned town that was ready to collapse. Yet, that is exactly what happened when they moved to the town of Miracle, Oregon.
Draco Orah thought his chance of ever finding his mate was nonexistent. He was over a thousand years old and had been kicked out of his dragon clan when he had been young and unable, or maybe unwilling, to control his anger. It had taken years, but finally he’d become a master at control, that was, until he’d met his mate with chains holding him prisoner.
Ryland West hated shifters. Considering he was currently chained up and forced to work for the Chief Council, he thought he had the right to his feelings. So why was he having warm emotions for a shifter?
Time will be against them figuring things out as an evil monster comes knocking, bent on destroying Ryland. Can Draco learn to control his temper instead of scaring off his mate ? Will Ryland be able to find a way past his hatred of shifters in order to see what was between them? Love has a funny way of giving the hopeless a chance but they have to reach out and grab it, or Like Magic, it will slip away.
Review: Each book in the Miracle collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
Every once in awhile you find an author that can give you a world that would be perfect to live in. I came across Shea Balik awhile back when she wrote her first book in the Cade Creek series and I knew from that moment that she was going to be one of my favorite authors of all time, if not the top one. There is something about the way that she writes that not only draw you in but keeps you there. She gives you hot sex, lots of love and tenderness, mixed in with excitement, adventure and lots of dangerous situations. They are not only the perfect length for me, but they are so full of detail that it feels like you are right there with them. They not only entertain you but captivates you throughout the whole story.
For me once I start reading I can’t move until I find out how they end. Her characters are also very fascinating and unique to me. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down.
Ryland and his sister grew up knowing about the paranormal world. When his sister was told that an alpha was her mate, he asked his best friend. Then their worlds exploded, the cruel alpha had lied. Now he was a prisoner as well as his sister. To top it off, a new alpha is showing up after killing the old one.
Draco was a dragon shifter which made this story really get exciting and rock. He was tough, serious and a pain in the ass, but he was also a good man. When he finds his mate chained up in the kitchen all hell is going to break loose. To top it off his sexy little mate hated shifters. Wow, he has his work cut out for him.
I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series that you can’t put down and have to read more than once. It is the perfect story for me and gave me all that I needed. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story.
I had a blast reading it and I can’t wait to read the next story.
