Blurb:  Ilya, the youngest son of a Moscow oligarch, is so deep in the closet he’d find Narnia if that weren’t a decadent Western story. On Christmas Eve, his brothers lure him into the forest, intending to murder him and erase the shame he inflicts on their family by existing. However, the attempt is interrupted by Volyk, a wolf who carries the blood of the ancient oboroten’ —shapeshifters. Ilya never imagined a Christmas gift like the handsome wolf, but accepting what Volyk offers will have consequences that change both of their lives forever.

Review: This is one of the sweetest Christmas stories I have come across. It was a very tender story that just calls to you. I wish it had more to it though.

Ilya, the youngest, was fair of hair and gray of eye, with an easy laugh and a generous heart. Generous with everything, that is, except his greatest secret among his family. He had thought he had hidden it well. His family was full of hate, anger, and bigotry. A beautiful Lion saves him, changes him, and mates him. Volyk knew what would happen if Ilya denied him, but he would do anything to save this gorgeous man.

It was a cute story but was missing so much for me to truly get into it. I need more about their lives and what it meant for Ilya. I did enjoy it and it does show what Christmas should be like. I loved the way it was told. The pain Ilya felt and then the happiness made the story beautiful and full of love. I loved it but I needed more. I would recommend reading this story. It will give you a cute story to read during the holidays. This story has a great twist to it that will keep you on your toes.
