But someone in the tower is killing people, and the guards believe that Jason is the culprit. Regardless of Phobos’ position and power, he isn’t able to keep Jason protected. His best bet is to help the guards, but he realizes they want to brand Jason a murderer and throw him away rather than find the guilty culprit.

Phobos and Draco know he is innocent, and they won’t have their mate taken away and tortured simply because he is human.

When Jason is taken anyway, will Phobos and Draco go on the warpath to get him back?

Review: Loved this story about Jason, a human, mated to two powerful warrior dragons, Phobos and Draco. It bothered me that humans in the tower seemed to have no rights at all and could be accused of anything and be convicted without any real evidence to the contrary as what happened to Jason.

I loved the fact that one of the things that bothered me in the first book was brought up in this book and something was put into motion to change it. The fact that families could put their adult children’s names in the lottery and keep the money they got from it without giving the kids any of it without their consent pissed me off as it was wrong. Then for the dragons to force that child they had to comply was horrible to say the least.

The young man who had this done to him just broke my heart. I understood why he was so angry but he should have handled things differently than he did. I thought the guards’ treatment of Jason was just downright nasty.

All in all this was a wonderful story fraught with mystery, suspense, and drama that keeps the reader intrigued until the very end. I could not stop reading until I was done. Loved it.

Highly recommended.
