Review: Each book in the Pickleville collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

This is one of those stories that just pulls your heart out of your chest and have you in tears. To know what a father can do to a child that is so evil will have you wanting to rip him apart. To see how they got to where they are at now is amazing but scary. I came across April’s books not too long ago.

At first when I saw the series title I wasn’t so sure what to expect but I am quite pleased with them. There are many stories out there that are similar and will have you in tears, but there is just a twist to these that will make them even better.

Brad, Luis and Caden had been raised by their abusive father physically, mentally and sexually. It was not until the bastard started in on Luis that Brad knew he had to get them out. He beat the hell out of the old man, and whisked them away. However Brad was always angry and at the time he hated his sexuality. He always feared that being gay meant he loved what his father did, but it was not till he ended up in prison that he got help.

Everyone in town, however, looked at him as the drunk and bully that he had been. Even Kendrick seemed afraid of him. The one man who made him hard as hell and left him wanting.

Kendrick had been in his own hell for a while and got out. He was scared and feared that Brad would hurt him. Then he realized that Brad might just be the man for him. Brad showed him a side that he had never expected and he took the time to really look at the man. It would take time but these two men can heal each other.

This is a love story that has the right amount of love, pain, temper, excitement and danger all rolled into an amazing package. I also love the fact that the brothers are extremely protective of each other and a bit on the annoying side. I feel for the brother Luis and cannot wait to read his story. He is the one that draws me in more than the actual main characters. There is just something about him. But I think Brad is the one that pulls me between these two men. They are just the right characters for this book.

This book just grabs your attention from the moment you start reading and keeps it there till you have read every word. They will also have you laughing at some parts of the story. Although most of it is tone in a serious tone, there is a hint of humor that makes it perfect. I love how the characters are beautifully written with big hearts, but if you cross them there is hell to pay. They will protect the men they love and their family with all they have in them.

This book gave me everything I could ask for in a story and so much more. I loved this one and cannot wait for the next amazing story. I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series. One that I will have to read over and over. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. It was the perfect story for me and I loved it. I can tell that when April puts out a book I will be there to eat them up. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Review: Woohoo I have found another favorite author whom I can guarantee I will be getting all of her books if they are anything like this one. Not only are the guys hot and carries guns, but they go in a save the day. There is something about the way that this author tells a story that will not only draw you in and keep your attention the whole time, but it will more than likely have you laughing your ass off at parts of it.

Xander is not only sexy, built, smart but he carries a weapon. He was guarding a porn star that seemed to love having sex with just about anyone. To Xander it was funny but not his type of action. After a call from not only his older brother but sort of boss calls him away, he heads out to where a certain cult is. They are saying that these men and women are capturing gay men and holding them hostage. While looking, he comes across someone who will change his free life.

Aaron and his friends would not last long in their cells where they are being held. He knew when he got caught kissing a friend, that things were going to change. He was now one of the prisoners. He knew that they needed help and bad. His sister sneaks and gets the key to release them, but at what cost.

He is so terrified that he couldn’t find help. Now the part that got me a bit lost was how Aaron got out but didn’t seem to make it too far. Xander finds him and brings him to safety. Things are about to look up for Aaron, in more ways than one.

Even though Aaron had been held captive, when he is around Xander and the others he has this little problem. He thinks something and just automatically says it. This for me was a blast to read. He is my favorite character so far and I don’t see that changing any time soon. There is a lot of action, suspense, adventure and danger in this book. It gave me everything I could want in a story and so much more.

The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their lovers with their entire lives. I had a blast reading this story. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a book.

I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series. One that I will have to read over and over. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. It was the perfect story for me and I loved it. I can’t wait to read the next story. Trust me from what I read this will be the type of story that will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down.

Andrew has grown up with his mother and three sisters. He was a detective who just wanted peace. He decides to move to Pickleville and start a new life. What he had not expected was to come across Kyler. He can tell Kyler is unique and very special. The problem with that was he was only a one night stand guy. What he did was unforgivable and caused Kyler pain.

Kyler has fallen in love with someone who could not love him back. His heart was breaking but he kept his head up and kept going. That and a couple of drinks a night seems to help. That is until six months later, with a rapist on the loose the two men come back into each other’s sight. The passion and fire are still there, but can these two get a long in time to realize that they are perfect together. Out of this story I am more like Andrew but it is Kyler that pulls me in. He is so tender-hearted and what Andrew did makes me want to rip him a new one.

When these two get together they set the sheets on fire and cause every one a bit of friction burns. There is a bit of kink in this story that will have you hotter than a pistol. It is a very fantastic story that is a blast to read.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.
