This book is a sequel to Two Man Advantage

Life has been treating Victor Kalinski well, which is a surprise for the ginger-haired forward with the venomous tongue. His career is somewhat stable, at least for another season. His relationship with Cougars alternate captain Dan Arou is deepening, despite the fact that Daniel has yet to come out of the closet.

It’s typical Kalinski luck when a puck bunny he shared a drunken night with several months ago slaps him with a paternity suit. Despite the sizzling passion and painfully heartfelt connection between them, Dan doesn’t take the news well, and heads back to Canada alone.

If he wants to make things right and win back the man he loves, he has no choice but to swallow his pride—and nobody’s prouder than hot-headed, ego-driven Victor.

Reader Advisory: This story has graphic sexual language and scenes—no closed bedroom doors (or other rooms) here!

An adult male/male romance from Ellora’s Cave

Victor Kalinski, all-star forward for the Boston Barracudas, is one of the biggest jerks in professional hockey. Before long his aggressive attitude gets him shipped off to play in the minor leagues.

Furious, he takes to the ice with equal amounts of skill and scathing sarcasm, which doesn’t win him any friends—except for good-natured alternate captain Daniel Arou. He won’t take any of Vic’s crap, and he won’t take no for an answer.

But Vic’s troublemaking is pulling his career one way while Dan’s talent is pushing his in the other. However much they scorch the sheets, they might soon be separated by more than Vic’s fear of being hurt.

Inside Scoop:  This book contains scorching gay sex and a heaping helping of no-holds-barred snark between hot hockey heroes who don’t pull their punches.

Blurb:  Handsome, angry and spoiled, Danny Carlow struggles to find his place in the world when his hatred for authority makes survival difficult. The only thing keeping him from completely giving up and turning to a life of crime is his friendship with clean-cut Paul Mattling. More than his conscience and best friend, Paul’s also the one Danny secretly pines for with every ounce of his being.

Paul is a natural over-achiever with a football scholarship and straight A’s to boast about. Yet he’s haunted by an abusive childhood that’s left him more scarred than anyone realizes. Looking for an escape from his demons, Paul has his own deviant secrets, ones he doesn’t want anyone, especially Danny, to know about.

When dark desires are accidentally revealed, Danny and Paul end up coming together in a clash of wild passion more tumultuous than either of them could have anticipated. Tasting the forbidden is sweet, but it turns the tables on their relationship, putting everything, even their lifelong friendship, in jeopardy.

Reader Advisory: This story visits the dark side of BDSM, where the only thing more intense than the scenes the characters participate in, is the love they have for one another. Please note there is a very brief F/F encounter.

Review:  Newsflash:  I don’t like bondage.  Don’t get me wrong, a little tie-me-up and ass slappin’ is sexy.  The whole beat me until I bleed…not so much.

Which is why, I don’t get why Kele Moon is one of my favorite writers.  I think it’s because she creates characters that are so real, even my cynical soul can suspend my inner demons and believe the players are getting exactly what they want and need.

This book was particularly satisfying because I already knew the main characters.  Beyond Eden was one of the first bondage titles I’d ever read that didn’t creep me out.  Going back to see how Danny and Paul began was awesome.  And unlike some series that are written out of chronological order…this worked for me.

Paul is a pretty simple guy; he needs pain.  Finding out why was sad.  Danny, on the other hand is much more complex.  For me, his love for Paul was never in question.  But, watching him struggle with his feelings, especially guilt over his own masochistic tendencies was heart wrenching.

I will probably never be a big fan of BDSM, but as long as Kele Moon is writing them, I’ll be reading them.  Highly recommend to anyone who wants an intense love story between two young men, trying to find themselves and each other.

Thommie’s Two Cents: I love BDSM stories, and I adore them when they are written with the passion the genre deserves. This is one such story, however it is not a simple one, not light in any way and there is some serious dark side some people might not like at all. Me? I loved it.

Danny is a rich boy, but angry beyond what one would call normal. He hates authority. He hates not being on top of things he hates his father. Everything makes him want to unleash the anger but for Paul, his best friend and golden boy who grounds him and makes him want to be better. Paul is also his tormentor as Danny for years pines for him, loving him bone deep. In short, Danny is a bomb waiting to explode.

But Paul is not the golden boy everyone sees. Deep down there is darkness and abuse, deep down his soul hurts and he tries to find that elusive nirvana anyway he can, and that leads him to danger so real that even his life hangs on the line. When Danny finds out the truth, things between them burn hot and there are only two things that can happen when there is such passion and tension between two people. Either they’ll crash or they’ll fly together.

I loved it. The eroticism was sensational and the way these two dealt with their vices simply spectacular. I’m not a pain slut but even I felt like I was about to fly with these too, they were so great together. I loved the fact that nothing came easy, I loved the fact that the enormity of their situation was stressed properly, how their decisions affected both of them, the pain, the hurt, the love that was yet wasn’t. This is not a romance, this is a love-story, and as such, it was filled with pain, loss, and emotions that often drive near insanity. It takes you spinning along with them and you have no idea what you’re going to experience next.

I must say that this book just sucked me in and made me its slave in more ways than one. The characters were not only alluring, but it felt like they had glue in their aura and I couldn’t escape. Both are touched by darkness and abuse, both reacts to it differently. They are the epitome of sadist and utter masochist. They are glorious together. Now I don’t need to be either, or to understand how someone could get off on pain for me to accept it as a fact or simply enjoy the read. If you read this book with intention to understand in a psychological level the workings and wirings of a sadomasochistic relationship I think this is not a book for you, but if you want to read about fire that burns hot, the inevitability and hold the dark passions have on two brilliantly written characters, then I’m absolutely certain you’ll love it.

And then, there was the end, and oh my, what a turn. At that point I felt like it would never happen, and the pair would literally revel in that sick fire until they ceased existing. It all depended on Danny (something I felt a bit awkward about) and he rose to the situation, and he made me want to squeeze him so hard he cracked. The promise for a fantastic sequel is there and I can’t wait to see how these two manage to overcome the haze that blinded them through the entire book and grow into their possibilities. As for this one, it’s strongly recommended.

Heat Level: Explicit

Blurb: Gunrunner Pablo Castillo has cemented his reputation in the gun trade as callous and cold-hearted. Personal feelings no longer matter, not with everyone out to make him a sacrifice on their way to the top. He remains untouchable, until a meeting with a rival gang leader and a new deal brings him face-to-face with temptation.

Dev is the right hand to a sadistic bastard out for blood and glory. He hides his true feelings of distaste for his boss, not the least of his many secrets. He could’ve sworn those secrets were safe, but after meeting Pablo he’s not so sure. The two men come together in a heated affair neither can deny, battling themselves, each other and a deadly enemy bent on spilling blood. Pablo and Dev will have to stick together or walk away from a love neither man expected to find. The choice should be simple. It never is.

Reader Advisory: Contains brief scenes of gang-related violence.

Review: Pablo has taken over Los P, a gang in Brooklyn that is mostly gunrunning. He meets with one of his adversary’s that wants to buy guns from only them. During this meeting, he meets York’s new right hand man and can’t get him out of his head. He has to keep his sex-life a secret, because of being a gang-leader and he has been hurt in the past and doesn’t feel his heart is his own to give.

Dev has secrets of his own and knows for many reasons he should not pursue Pablo, but he just can’t help himself. He knows that it’s a relationship doomed to fail and the fact that Pablo pushes him away makes it more appealing.

This is book two in this series. I had read the third first and in my opinion if I had not, this one would have been harder to follow. Syren’s appearance in this one really stemmed from a scene in the third. That if you didn’t know that story I think you might have really been stumped, and you would have no idea about the other man Pablo was pining for. HOWEVER, this is a lovey story on its own. I love how in this one, it isn’t so cut and dry or easy for these two. I love how Pablo pushes away and keeps telling Dev he is just a thing. I liked not liking Pablo so much and having to form a relationship with him myself. But, then again, I am a sucker for the bad-boys. I loved Dev’s determination though I don’t think I’d go through half the hell Pablo put him through and wow was the sex smoking! This is a great series and I cannot wait for the next one!

Recommendation: I do recommend you read book one and Three first for better understanding and enjoyment on this one. If you love a deep heartfelt love story, especially where one man is in love with someone else, between cops and criminals, gunrunners, gangs, undercover agents, drama, suspense, and very hot mansex, this is necessary.

Review: Gabe knows something is different the moment he meets Angelo in the interrogation room. Angelo is a Gunrunner and possibly a killer and Gabe is a cop, and straight. But the moment they touch, his feelings run wild. Angelo is tired of hiding but has no choice a gang-leader of his caliber stands no chance if it’s found out he is gay. But the moment he met Gabe he knew he was the one he has always wanted.

Wow, this is a beautiful story! I love how these two men are so different but know inside how they need the other. I also liked that Gabe wasn’t a hidden gay, that he was truly straight until he met Angelo. To me this made the story even more magical. I liked how the sex was so hot but the way it was mixed in with all the drama and gang related stuff really worked for me. I liked never knowing whether these two would make it. Such a beautiful, bittersweet story. Do they make it? Is it a HEA? I’m not telling you will have to buy this one * while you’re at it better get the next two and have them handy…

Recommendation: If you love a story of two men that shouldn’t be together, Straight man falling for a man, a love that seems impossible, Cops, Gun runners, mobsters, true love, and really sensuous and hot mansex, this one is for you. I am addicted to this series!

Blurb: Book three in the Brooklyn Sinners series.

As Faro, Syren makes deals with the worst while taking the steps necessary to bring his family’s killer to justice. He isn’t one to indulge in selfish needs, but he’ll make the time in this instance. Syren has been watching Kane Ashby, craving the grieving man for his own. He’s always stayed away from temptation, but that’s about to change.

Kane isn’t over the death of his long-time partner. He’s certainly not ready for a relationship, sexual or otherwise, but Syren isn’t a man who takes no for an answer. The unpredictable Syren offers nothing but secrets and brings with him memories so dark, they could wipe out any chance the two might ever have. Syren brings Kane’s heart back to life. But it is also Syren who could inflict the most damage.

Reviewer: Cat

Review: Syren has lots of secrets and more than one identity. Can he keep track of who he really is and what the real him needs?

Kane is barely living. He can’t let go of his past lover, yet Faro intrigues him, and Vince is finally ready to come out for Kane. What will Kane do? Can he let Bailey’s memory go? Could he and Vince have a future together as more than friends? Who is Faro and why does this man seem so intent on Kane?

OH WOW! This book has so much going on. There is mystery, Intrigue, drama, angst, hot sex. SO many different romances and feelings that tie together and fit like puzzle pieces.  I cried. I swooned. I got mad. Yep this is one heck of a good story.

There are so many good characters and all have so many complicated feelings and roles, it’s hard to not like even the bad guys and at times I wanted to hurt both of the  prominent main characters Kane and Syren.

It is the third book in this series, but I never got lost, so it stands alone well; but I have to say I wanted to read the others, to see who they were about and how they fit into this one. I cannot wait for the next story to see how things move forward and what becomes of Syren and Cane now or who the main characters in the next book will be.

Recommendation: If you like, complicated characters and intriguing plots, drug runners, mobs, cartels, secret agents, police officers, FBI agents, romance with angst, little BDSM (bondage) secrets, super- hot sex, and this one is for you!

Review:  How Tina Christopher got this far in her career without setting off my radar is amazing.  Nick that…she is amazing.  She managed to combine an excellently plotted sci-fi adventure with realistic MMF ménage loving, to create a world I hope she will visit again in the future.

Galen and Nikolai assumed getting into Brooke’s head would be easy.  After all Nikolai is an ancient vampire and Galen is of the Naeme race, powerful being somewhere between angels and demons.  Image their surprise to find mental shield in place that even Brook cannot penetrate.  I don’t know if what they do next is regulation interrogation on any planet, but it was smoking hot.  And the fact that the triad is equal, emotionally and sexually, was a huge plus for me.  We get to experience the genuine love and affection between the guys and watch as they break down all of Brooke’s carefully constructed defenses.

But even if there weren’t a whole lot of deliciously nasty sex scenes in this book, I think I would still have enjoyed it. The whole deal with Brooke’s amnesia and subsequent search and rescue was very entertaining.  *side note* Brooke is kiss-ass with a sword.  There weren’t a lot of secondary characters that don’t end up dead, but I’d pay money for a story about a certain fireball throwing rescuee.

This was my first Tina Christopher read and I enjoyed every minute of it.  I can’t wait to find out if this was a one-off or if she really is that good with world-building, erotic romance and action adventure.  Highly recommend

Blurb: Ragnar, a hardened Scottish soldier, is indifferent to English rule of his homeland until he falls in love with Gylis McIvoy, a fellow Scotsman. They have a brief and passionate affair, but circumstances tear them apart permanently. Ragnar swears vengeance, and soon becomes a freedom fighter modeled on the recently captured and executed William Wallace.

Ragnar manages to raise a ragtag army that rains terror down on Longshanks’ occupying forces, but in the process, he has a chance meeting with the king’s son, Prince Edward of Wales. Sparks fly between them despite the impossibility of an English prince taking a Scottish enemy soldier as his lover—giving new meaning to “the love that dare not speak its name”. These two star-crossed lovers may cross swords on the battlefield by day, but they still manage to heat up the night.

Review: Ragnar is bent on revenge on the English after they killed his lover Gylis.   He is determined to raise an army and drive the English out of Scotland. Edward Prince of Wales and heir to the throne is not a happy chappy as he is currently locked in the Tower for criticizing his father’s, the King, campaigns in Scotland and he is now plotting his uprising against his father.

This is a great story as you can imagine most of what’s described as happening back then.   A lot of thought went into this storyline and I really enjoyed the plotting and the intrigue.   The backstabbing and the scheming, most of the characters are in the history books and did in history what was described in this book.   The author changed it up a bit but it doesn’t stray too far from known history so I supposed that you could call this Factual-Fiction. The story draws you in and with the problems that Ragnar and Edward face with being from enemy countries and one a peasant and one a royal.   You really don’t see how they could possibly end up together, but the ending is great it left me with a grin on my face.

Ok… I loved this book.  I know this is fiction and the author has artistic license and the author did fantastically with the story BUT I do have a few problems with it namely the timeline.  it starts in 1283 but Edward Prince of Wales wasn’t born ‘til 1284 and there was some other stuff that was mixed up as well with the timeline, I know I am being picky but the author could have written this easily into the timeline and truthfully it’s not that far from the truth anyway.

So what would I recommend…? I would recommend this to anyone who love a pampered Prince, a Scottish Barbarian, sword fights, political intrigue, backstabbing, intense hot passion and men who fall in love with the enemy.
