Blurb: A naked man. Beaten.

David can’t believe his eyes. After leaving the military to live as a hermit in the woods, the last thing he wants to find is another person. Even if did bump into someone, he hadn’t planned on the guy being stark naked.

The strange man…alone in the dirt in the middle of a rainstorm. Instincts kick in and David decides to bring the man to his isolated cabin. As he helps the battered man, David struggles to avoid noticing the man’s strong build and obvious nakedness.

But David is about to find out what this man truly is, and worse, that the man wants to stick around.

Will David avoid conflict and keep to his hermit life, or will he find new meaning in being with another?

Review: I thought that this was a really cute story, but needed more details to it. I wished it had been longer, with a little more difficulties between the two men.

You learn more about David from the blurb then you do in that actual story. It drives me a little nuts with that. It should be expanded with more to the actual story. Put in a little trouble with other packs, a little war, and fight for his mate and so forth. Although there is no word about mates with these two men.

Bron is injured and is found by David in the woods, butt ass naked. David takes him, helps fix his wounds, and walks in to find a wolf in Bron’s place. A wolf that talks is a bit strange to me, but in the paranormal world maybe not so much. David allows him to stay and there is some major heat coming from them both. The hot sex is just a bonus.

Don’t get me wrong it is a very good story, but needs more to it. I am not much for a short story unless it has a bit to it that stands out. I would recommend it for a quick reading and look forward to seeing what else J.J. comes up with. It has sexy men, wolf shifters, a bit of excitement, sexual heat and desires.

Review: Short, Sexy and S.T.E.A.M.Y!! I’ve read all three books so far in this series and they just keep getting better.
Liam Collins has spent the last several months getting to know Chase Preston inside and out. He was hired to play Chase as a public persona for various reasons. Required to move in to Chase’s home, the two have gotten on each other’s last good nerve more often than not. But there is something between them that has been growing and simmering just under the surface.

After a recent argument, Liam breaks the rules and follows Chase to a seedy nightclub where he’s kidnapped by Chase’s older brother’s psychotic ex-girlfriend. Tied up in a hotel room with a crazy woman pointing a gun at him, Liam’s more worried about how Chase will react to all this. And when Chase’s brother shows up, will he blow Liam’s cover?

Liam has been trying to figure Chase out from the start, the man runs hot and cold and his flip is so easily switched, Liam never knows which Chase he’s going to get. Well, let’s just say the thought of Liam being hurt brings on a side of Chase we have yet to see. Everything up until now has been leading up to the events in this book. It is sexy, passionate, sensual, and steamy and toe curling! I’m pretty sure that these two are falling in love, if they haven’t already fallen. The push and pull between them coupled with the intense attraction provides for some very entertaining reading.

Damn you JJ Scotts for leaving us with that ending! How long do I have to troll Amazon for book 4 is my question? I highly recommend this series, but start at the beginning. I stated in my review of the first book that it was a little slow in places, and book two aggravated the piss out of me because they still didn’t get together. It was well worth the wait though, I assure you. Scotts writing gets better with each twist in the story of Liam and Chase.

Blurb:  Liam Collins is in way over his head. He’s been hired to act as the face of the hermit author, Chase Preston, by attending events and interacting with the fans. At first, it doesn’t sound that bad at all.

But Chase can’t seem to keep his hands to himself. And Liam can’t stop himself from getting turned on. Is Liam merely Chase’s plaything? Is this the real reason he was hired?

The more Liam struggles to resist the sexy author, the more curious Liam becomes. Who is Chase, really?

A little harmless snooping is about to put Liam in a lot of danger.

Review: This is not a standalone story. It is a continuation of the story that started in the first book, so read it first.

Liam Collins was hired to play the “face” of bestselling author, Chase Preston, who is a bit of a recluse. Chase has a scar that prevents him from putting himself out there to the public, and he covets his anonymity. But Liam is starting to suspect that Chase may want more from him that just his face. The sexual tension between these two is about to reach the boiling point, and Liam is beyond frustrated. Especially when every time he thinks Chase is about to make a move, he pulls back at the last-minute. And he’s pretty sure Chase is straight.

After his first evening out with Chase’s sister as his date, he pulls off the public persona perfectly. Only to return to Liam’s condominium so the two can fight, again. Heated words are exchanged and when Chase leaves, presumably upset, Liam follows him. The last thing that Liam expected when he took this job was to be endangered pretending to be Chase, but that is exactly what is happening.

There is no out right sex in this book, but the undertones and tension is enough to melt the wallpaper! Add to that the mystery of the seedy club Liam follows Chase to at the end, and then that jaw-dropping cliffhanger. I need the next installment now. The suspense is killing me. My only complaint about this series so far, is the way Chase is forever leading Liam on, and then no follow through. Would you just put him up against the wall already! I think it will be worth it in the end though, but once these two finally come together, my kindle might explode.
