Review: Each book in the Lubirea Mai collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.  

Bellann Summer has become one of my favorite authors of all time.  The worlds that she creates for each story just top the one before it.  The characters are fully developed and are in so much detail that it feels like you know them.  This story caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end.  I love how much humor is mixed in with a serious tone in these books.  

There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance to me and this one rocked it. Ronnie is your normal, everyday mail man in the day time and friend in the evening. He is also the biggest chicken ever, especially when a big ass lion breaks in, shifts into a human and starts a fight with his friends. Then to top it off some big ass tiger shifter comes in and tells him he is his mate. Carries him off and the tiger just thinks he is going to be all nice, you just wait.

Maksim is the council’s police, judge and jury when it comes to shifters endangering others. When he goes to find out why a lion’s light blew out, he finds his mate in danger. Things are going to get strange, because Maksim is the big bad furry, where as his little mate is terrified. It looks like Maksim might just have to change, just a bit.

I have always loved this series and it just keeps getting better. I am always fascinated with her gift at telling stories and I can guarantee that it will never change. I had a lot of fun reading this and look forward to her next story.

Review: This is part of the Lubirea Mai series and they should be read in order. Each story focuses on a new romantic couple. For me it gives me an insight into the characters and their lives. I get a crack out of the fact in the paranormal world that a man can have the children. Talk about paybacks for women. When a story has such a serious tone to it but you can see the hints of humor in it, then the book is perfect for me. I am not one for serious subjects I can tell you that. I want a book that I can enjoy and have fun with.

This story was that with me.

Simon is an over bearing lion with an attitude that needs an adjustment. He is a total ass to pretty much everyone. However if one does look deeper then they know that it is just the exact opposite. He had the talk with his father at the age of ten about his duties as a true lion, and then shipped to the council for training for two years. He had though that this meant that his mate should be another true lion, not a human. He saw humans as weak creatures. Then he found out that his mate was human.

Jessie has been abducted by sexy man, kissed by sexy man and come to the conclusion that said sexy man is a total ass. However, he had learned after they separated that he could feel the pain that Simon was in. Then yet again, he has been abducted, but this time by Simon’s brother. Things had better start looking up because he was about to skin his mate.

Once Simon realizes how mates are supposing to be treated and to trust fate, he knows now that he has some serious kissing up to his mate to do. I got a kick out of this book. I love the way they don’t just meet, kiss, and straight to love and sex. They actually had to fight to get it right. It seems to me that it would make their mating so much stronger in the end. This was a blast to read and I look forward to the next book. It caught my attention with the first paragraph and kept it all the way to the end. It gave me all that I needed in a book and I would recommend reading it.

5 of hearts logo red on black smallReview: This is the second book to this series and they need to be read in order. Each story gives you a new romantic couple. I had a blast reading this story. The way it is written feels like you are still going through the stages of freedom that book one gives you. The way it just flows off the pages and into your mind is amazing. I loved that it captured my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. This story gave me everything I could want in a story.

Riley and Katherine had been friends for a very long time, enough time for Katherine to trust him with her secret. Not only her secret but also the rules that they have after a shifter reaches five hundred years. They are to turn their selves in for one week to mate with another lion. So Riley had left his home and job to run away with Katherine to keep her from having to go to that pain again. The problem was he had not expected to be tackled by a lion.

Samuel is one of the council agent’s that are sent after those who cause problems. Riley hated the council for what they put the lions through. However, the bigger surprise was that they were mates and not just any typical mate. But a mate that was lubirea mai and of course this has an even bigger surprise for Riley. He can have a child.

Talk about a shock. Another problem was that the leader of the lions and Samuels brother, Simon was not happy about Samuel being mated to a human. So he sends him on a quest to bring in a shifter for kidnapping. It ended badly, and Simon was a complete ass and the punishment was to be given out. All this because Samuel mated a human.

I had a blast reading this and cannot wait to read the next story. It gave me sexy shifters, feisty human mates, mates that can get pregnant, a surprise ending for Riley, excitement, a touch of danger and some amazing sex. I would recommend reading this book, especially if you love all of that and so much more. I loved it and cannot wait to check out the rest of Bellann’s books.
