Blurb: Dylan is an Urilqii soldier, sworn to destroy the Targolt on sight and assigned to do so on the planet called Earth. He is leader of a tank squadron that’s busy testing their equipment in the southern Nevada desert outside of Pahrump. He should feel content, maybe eager for the looming conflict, but Dylan is feeling unsettled instead. What bothers him? He’s lonely. Not just any kind of lonely, but anxious for the exquisite beauty of a bonded partner.

His wishes for his soul mate to fly into the starry darkness.
While deciding what to do next, Dylan is lured to a bar oddly named Dylan’s Intoxicating Fantasy. Unable to curb his curiosity, he enters the establishment and drinks the Screaming Orgasm cocktail the bartender named Solomon puts in front of him. Shortly afterward, he meets a man named Garrett who could very well alleviate his perpetual loneliness.

Garrett had landed on the bar’s back porch three months earlier. When Solomon had offered him a meal, a room, and a job, he hadn’t hesitated. The bartender also promised the answer to all of Garrett’s desperate wishes for love. But little did Garrett know the answer to his dreams would arrive in the form of a sexy Urilqii alien…

Review: This is book three of the Intoxicating Fantasies series and can be read as a standalone book – sort of. This story also bridges a character from Michelle Robbins’ series Urilqii, which I have not read. However, after reading this I do want to find out about the world of the Urilqii – a race of aliens helping to save the world from something that reminds of the Chitari in The Avengers. I’ll continue this thought later.

The story is about Dylan and Garrett. Garrett works for the mysterious Solomon, the odd bartender that knows everyone’s fantasies in what I refer to as a Hotel California-scenario. Garrett’s had trouble in his personal life and drifted until he found work with Solomon. It is here he meets Dylan, a member of the said alien race here to protect earth. On his way to base where he works he stops.

Back to my point about Dylan being an alien protecting us humans from the Chitari. Well, it isn’t really the Chitari but I’m afraid that some vital sentences were missing early on in this story to make things clear from the get go. We are actually given the names of the evil aliens but I’m using the name to serve my point.

I said this is a standalone, and it is, but I had trouble because it felt like some things were assumed to be already known in the world of the Urilqii. In saying all that though, I do want to look into reading the series this came from, which probably means the author has done her job well.

As for Solomon, a somewhat minor character though major in his own right (if that makes sense!) it seems as we go along his mystery is becoming less but as a character he is downright intriguing. The best way to put it is that Solomon is the fairy godmother of the piece.

I am really loving this series, it covers such a broad scope but full of lots of sexy romance and fun.

Blurb: Diego Villanueva is a college student, tattoo artist, judoka and younger brother of a vice cop. Ideally, life should be interesting for him, but lately his job had been that of shuttle driver for members of his extended family visiting Portland, Oregon. All that unexpectedly changes, however, when Diego meets an alluring Asian man who happens to be on the run for his life.

Bohai Bradley Tran, illegally imported to America as a youth and placed into service by a ring of flesh-traders after his mother conveniently vanished, finally aged enough to fight his way out of the system. Since then, Bo’s been living the only way he knows how—using his body as a commodity. He’s also evading a murderer targeting rent boys, a man who once tasted Bo’s blood and wants more.

Now, three lives converge, an assembly born of violence and hate. One wants to destroy, one wants to heal, and one wants to live. The balance of power is poised on a knife’s edge—the very knife clutched in the hands of a ruthless serial killer.

NOTE: This book is part of the Brand Me series.

Review: This is part of the Brand me series, but it stands alone just fine. I will say that after I am done here, I will be going to look up the series. This is also the first book I have read by Michelle Robbins and I’ll be also stalking—oops—I meant following her!

Bo is a rent boy who narrowly escapes an abusive John. He is back where he calls home in the train station cleaning up when Diego walks in. Bo doesn’t know how lucky he is, not only has he escaped rape though he took a good beating it could have been worse. Some of his friends haven’t been so lucky and his job is even more dangerous with a sick serial killer on the loose.

Diego is the brother of an undercover cop and seeing the thin, dirty and beat up boy in the bathroom tugs at more than his heartstrings. When they first met he just wanted to take the boy off the street, clean him up get him medical attention and feed him. Little did he know just how much this meeting would change his life.

I loved this story. The title alluded to so much and it delivered. They were marked in many ways. I’ll let you read to see just how many. There is lots of action, suspense and drama along with some hot sex scenes and some sweet and sappy stuff too. (You have to see what’s NOT in the bathroom drawer if you’re a die-hard romance lover.)

I highly recommend this, if you like hot cops, sexy rent boys, broken men, action, drama suspense, tattoos, hot mansex and a touch of sappy sweet romance with a very good ending! What ya waiting for?
