Review: I came across Nic when the first book of this series came out and I have to admit that these are some amazing stories. I was for sure at the time because I haven’t really been one for romance stories that have such a heartwarming tell with a bit of angst in them. I have always tended to lean towards the happy and quirky stories, but I would have regretted missing these stories. They have a deep story with love, pain and angst in them.
Tyler had been in love with Chris in their teenage years and when a freak accident had taken Chris from at the age of eighteen he ran to get away from the pain. Then he met another great man, fell in love with him only to lose him. So with the way he handles pain, he runs. He ran home to the town he left behind. Only to find love in his best friends little brother. But like he has done in the past he runs to get away from the possible pain.
Mac has loved Tyler since he was a young child. Always following him and his older brother. He had been there when Chris had died, realizing that Tyler was like him. Now that he was back, he intended to show him that they were the perfect couple. However he notices that Tyler tends to run after they are together. He has to find a way to show him that love can heal all wounds.
Now I must admit that there are many phrases in this story that just don’t make sense. I never did figure out how his second love had been killed. However I was glad to see the love these two have for each other. It had the perfect ending for me. Although when I am given a book to read I knock it down points if there is no cover to the book. It gives me an idea of what to expect from this story. I enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see what the next story has going on.
I loved it and would definitely recommend it.

Review: I have not had a chance to read many books by this author but I have to say she has a pretty sweet gift at giving you a great read. Usually I choose a story because of three major things cover, title and author. However I didn’t get to see the cover for this so I couldn’t tell you what it is like, but the title is catchy. I absolutely loved the blurb so I knew I wanted to read it.
This story was a cute little romance with some sexy men. Adam has decided to take a break from the family to figure out what he really wanted to do. His father is a complete ass and Adam really doesn’t want to work for him any longer. He is a pretty good singer and guitar playing, which is how Joey saw him.
Joey has taken on a lot of responsibilities at such a young age. His father passed on three years ago and he takes care of his mother. It is time someone took care of him. When these two get together it is not only sweet but very sexy.
The ending to this story was perfect if not a bit bland. It gave several options on what would happen and where they would go forward, however I wasn’t sure if I liked the one the choice they choose. I did however love it and can’t wait to see what book two will be like. This story was a very simple little love story that didn’t have any twist to it.
The story was well written and the words just seemed to flow off the pages. The characters were well-developed and didn’t leave me with too many questions. I loved the way the guys were together and how they appeared all the way. It was a true romance that will pull you in and keep your attention.
It is not a story that I would normally choose, but this one was just sweet enough that I enjoyed reading it. It is a cute romance story that will have you smiling and is perfect for a raining day. I enjoyed it and look forward to seeing what other stories this author has out.
