Blurb: Carter Nichols needs a vacation and a cruise on the mid-20th century Ocean Liner, ‘Royal Lexington’ is just what he was searching for. Soon, he captures the attention of the exotically handsome Sterling Addington, and Sterling won’t take ‘No’ for an answer. Carter succumbs to Sterling’s charm, and they enjoy a carefree adventure until an ocean storm takes the ship off-course. Their intoxicating romance then takes an even stranger turn when Sterling must confess his darkest secret as the full moon approaches.
Carter has never been so spellbound by a lover before and is willing to forsake everything to be with Sterling. He is willing to surrender and become Sterling’s true mate, in ways he doesn’t yet understand. Sterling knows the dangers and the magnitude of what taking Carter as his mate means. Will he let Carter surrender and become his mate while still on the ship, knowing that before the cruise ends, the rising moon will require they both be caged for safety?
Review: Carter just needed to get away from it all. So he decides to take a nice cruise and ignore everyone. Too bad Sterling steps in and captures his attention. Then he finds out what Sterling truly is, and things take an interesting turn.
I liked the idea of werewolves, even though it is used way too much. The story is unique, but there were several mistakes that I saw in the word usage department. I was all set to actually give this a good rating, till the moment the alpha said he would still screw the omega and women to get them pregnant. That is where the author lost my attention. To me it is still cheating and it is one of my pet peeves.
Also it has a very dark tone to it, which I didn’t much care for. Now I usually give the book a say, and check the next one out to see if it is different. However the mention of sleeping around did it to me, and I am sorry to say but I will not be reading the rest of this series. Mating is sacred and should never deviate, cheating is a no (even if the other doesn’t see it as that), so it would make it nasty in my eyes. Sorry to say but this book was not for me.
