Blurb:   When Liam Marshall’s best friend, Alex, loses his fight with colon cancer, he leaves Liam one final request: buy a ticket to Ryde, on the Isle of Wight, and scatter Alex’s ashes off the pier. Liam is tired, worn out, and in desperate need of a vacation, but instead of sun, sea, sand, and hot cabana boys, he gets a rickety old train, revolting kids, and no Ewan MacGregor.

Liam would have done anything for his friend, but fulfilling Alex’s final wish means letting go of the only family Liam had left. Lost, he freezes on the pier… until Sam Owens comes to his rescue.

Sam’s family has vacationed on the Isle of Wight every year for as long as he can remember, but he’s never met anyone like Liam. Determined to make Liam’s vacation one to remember, Sam looks after him-in and out of the bedroom. He even introduces Liam to his entire family. But as Sam helps Liam let go, he’s forced to admit that he wants Liam to hang on-not to his old life, but to Sam and what they have together.

Review:  Liam Marshall lost his best friend to cancer and has travelled across the country, to the Isle of Wight, to honor Alex’s last wish. Every day he takes the train to the pier and is consistently unable to do what he came to do. One afternoon he breaks down and Sam is there to pick him up, dust him off, and kisses him until he forgets about all the pain and misery he’s feeling.

Sam is carefree, outspoken, and downright brash. He’s also tall, dark, and sexy, and Liam takes notice. Liam is vulnerable and Sam is more than willing to be a shoulder to cry on. Their theme song should be ‘I knew I loved you before I met you’ by Sound garden! The unrealistic aspect of their instantaneous love is balanced well with the inner monologue that is Liam’s thoughts. He argues with himself and the voice of his dead best friend that has taken up residency in his head that it’s all too much too fast. But Sam is vulnerable as well, even if he is pushy and demanding, and Liam quickly finds himself dreading the trip home. These two are intoxicated with each other, but can their newborn relationship survive the strain of living on separate continents?

I loved this book! From the farfetched insta-love to Sam taking the lead everywhere but in the bedroom, these two completely complement each other. Love is love; it knows no boundaries and doesn’t conform to normality. Sam’s heart never recognized the miles that were between them, it only recognized its other half, Liam. Brown has an uncanny ability to take hardship and raw emotion and turn it into one hell of a love story. Get your fans ready because there are some drool worthy sex scenes in this book, passionate and intense.

I anxiously await the next book in this series so I can catch up with Liam and Sam. Fans of steamy man love, romance, and a teensy bit of drama will want to add this one to your TBR pile!
