Blurb: Just a little Love Bite: When a vampire chef meets his soul mate, he must discover if the way to a man’s heart really is through his stomach.
Patrick Brown knows he’s a little odd for a vampire, enjoying cooking and dancing. It works for him, though, since he’s his vampire coven’s chef, and he loves spending hours doing both as he shimmies around his kitchen. On a routine food run he stops a robbery at his local grocer’s. To Patrick’s surprise, the blood of one of the officers calls to him like nothing ever has. He realizes the human policeman is his beloved, his soul mate. While Patrick easily scents the human’s arousal, betraying his interest, Officer Allen Robinson barely gives him the time of day. Undeterred, Patrick begins a quest to learn everything about the human, and with the help of friends, he sees him again…and again. Can Patrick figure out a way to woo his closeted cop, or will fears and prejudice destroy their chance at a future?
Review: Each book in A Loving Nip collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This story is a branch off of Wolves of Stone Ridge, so I would start with that series first. There are several series that are connected to this series as well.
I came across this author when her first book in the Wolves of Stone Ridge series came out and from that point on I knew that she would become a favorite. The worlds she creates are unique and keep my attention from the moment I start reading. The characters are sexy, fierce, tempting and will fight for what they believe is right. The stories are fascinating and give the reader everything they could ask for in a story.
Allen has always loved being a police officer and never wanted to give it up. However he has been hiding one big secret that doesn’t work to well around other officers. He had been doing a good job at hiding it, that is until he meets Patrick at a crime scene.
Patrick was a sexy as vampire that could cook and dance like a god. He loved preparing meals for his friends and family. He was just missing one thing, and that was his beloved. Then when he stopped a robbery at the store, he met the one fated for him. To bad his beloved was in the closet.
I have always loved Charlie’s books and this was just another amazing story. It gave me everything I could want in a story and so much more. I had a lot of fun reading it and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. This is one of those stories that will be read more than once.
