Review: Holden Turner wakes up in a strange with a leather collar around his neck and no memory of what happened the previous night. He calls his friend Maddox to come and get him and quickly and quietly slips out of the house he’s in before whoever is moving around in the kitchen stops him. After a few days with still no memory Holden has been having trouble sleeping and eating wondering who the mysterious man is that put the collar on him that he refuses to take off.
Ranger offers to help by explaining that maybe he’d be able to sniff the bite mark on Holden’s neck and determine who is mate his. Holden agrees and just as Ranger sniffs the bite mark, Maddox attacks him in wolf form thinking he’s trying to take Ranger from him even though Ranger is not his mate. Ranger stops Maddox from killing Holden, but he’s hurt badly. He calls Gideon to tell him to get the doctor and Jack Hearst, Holden’s vampire mate, there as quickly as possible.
After Holden shifts and heals, there is some hot sex action between him and Jack.
