Blurb: As vain as he is beautiful, Nino Santos happily lives life waiting for the next ferry full of fairies to bring him new conquests. As long as they aren’t hirsute, he’s all in. So he’s shocked to wake up after a beach party he cannot remember with a hairy naked man lying next to him.

Teddy Miller doesn’t remember the “Bear Week” party either. Much less, the Abercrombie & Fitch model wannabe next to him. Teddy doesn’t give two cents about appearances, but guys like Abercrombie don’t return the favor. That’s why he prefers men with extra fur and padding over carbon copy clones of perfection—a type of man Teddy is far too familiar with.

When Nino and Teddy glimpse each other the next morning, it’s loathing at first sight. Instead of exchanging phone numbers, they exchange insults and vow never to see each other again. In Provincetown, however, escaping a trick best forgotten isn’t easy. Mutual friends and chance circumstances keep Nino and Teddy in each other’s orbit. But are they fighting each other or the attraction growing between them? The answer lies amid Provincetown’s windswept dunes and the night neither of them can recall.

Review: What a fun read and such hilarious scenes this book had. I loved it and I was so glad to finally read Nino’s story.

You remember Nino right? Van’s friend from When Love Takes Over, the gorgeous model that hooked up with anything moving down the street. Anyone but bears of course, because if there’s one thing Nino can’t stand, that is Bear Week aka Self Exile Week. So imagine his surprise to wake up the first day of said week with a pocked bear on his bed.

But, it gets better. Meet Teddy Miller, a pocket bear who avoids plastic life-sized Ken-dolls with a passion. Now that doesn’t mean he doesn’t get horny by them, he simply had his heart carved out once upon a time and now he simply avoids anyone that resembles a model. Waking up in Nino’s bed, oh man, could things get worse?

Well out of all three books in the series, I found this one to be the funniest. It was a classic case of characters having a disturbed past and that affecting their present and their decisions, but the approach was humorous, fun, and joyful even as some passages were a bit heartbreaking, especially Nino’s childhood. While the author slowly gave us the details needed to overcome our initial impression of the shallow, superfluous Nino, and ultimately making us adore him and excuse his antics, he did so with a humoristic pen that had me laughing, smiling, and grinning like a looney with every line I read.

The story is sweet and romantic, funny and fresh, but most of all it is hot, so much so that it made my head spin and my beat go a lot faster. It took a while for the intimate scenes to come in sight as Nino and Teddy had to overcome their “hate at first sight,” and then had to become friends, but when it came, it definitely made a lasting impression. The chemistry between them was simply great and easily dragged you in the passion this pair shared. Their banter in and out of bed was exquisite and made everything just one lovely game instead of merely a hot scene.

As for the rest of the cast, well they were a joy as always, though we had new additions that stole the spotlight and of course, the Irene/Tara thingy, that was way cool. The story ends with a big event from our old favorite pair when Zach and Van surprised us (yet not so much) with their declaration.

Overall I think this was indeed one of the sweetest books in the series and a must read for the forever-romantics, and as much as this is easily a standalone I strongly recommend you pick up the previous two and enjoy the P-Town Boys.
