Review: Sam had decided that he needed a dog seeing as he lived in the middle of nowhere Colorado. He just had not expected to leave the shelter with a cute dog and make it home to find a naked man wearing the dog’s collar. Philip was on holiday and got caught by the dog pound, while he was in his dog form. Talk about a surprise for Sam, although I have to say that I do hope that Philip actually stays with Sam, because he is such a goofball.

This was a blast to read, although it was a bit depressing in parts of it. I wish that it had been longer with a bit more to it. I enjoyed it quite a bit though and would definitely recommend it. It was funny as hell and the characters were quirky and a joy to read about.

Review: This is my first story by Rick and I can tell you that I am definitely intrigued by it. I have to say though, that the beginning was a bit slow for me and I actually had to walk away from it. The pace was just not fast enough to keep my attention for long. The story itself though was pretty damn good. It had a lot going on in it and I was surprised that it had all these twists to it. When I thought I knew what was going on, well let’s just say I had no clue in the end.

My other thing is I have never been one into stories with rent boys or escorts. They always seem to have the same thing going on. So I was quite surprised that this one was definitely a fresh new tale to me and I enjoyed the characters quite a bit. I admit that the whole story surprised me all the way to the end.

We have some characters with unusual names that are quite different from each other, yet they have this pull to be with each other. Wren has just lost his job and had no real place to go except to continue living with his mother. However it would seem that she had somewhere else she wanted to live so Wren was pretty much on his own. Then Dave approached him with a job offer. To his luck he had just had his wallet stolen so he ended up working for the ass.

David is a forty-nine year old virgin who loves to sell sexy men for sex. He is about as evil as you can find, but he also different. He saves them from drugs and smoking, trying to show them that they can make money by doing something they enjoy. Then one of his rent boys is murdered.

Rufus is to be Wren’s mentor and help him get into the life. His past was filled with drugs that would eventually kill him. Dave saved him from that death and continued to keep him clean. Hi one night with Wren has shown him that he does in fact still feel something more. Too bad after that night Wren realizes he is not cut out to sell his body. The thing is these two seem to want each other, time will tell if it will be enough or not.

Now I loved the mystery that this story had as well as the action, but the journal entries were a bit too much for me. I lost interest in those moments of reading. Other than my issues with this book, I have to say that Rick R. Reed is one gifted author. This story might not have been for me, but I can guarantee that if you love mysteries, action and some amazing twist, then this will be for you.

Review: Each book in the Wildcat Hills Pride collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. But, it is by no means necessary.

Viggo has always wanted a mate, but he had never expected his mate to be a guy. He is having a difficult time getting over the fact that Jaxon was his mate. So imagine his surprise when he got home from work to find out. To top it top it off Jaxon’s herd wanted him back, so they kidnapped Viggo’s Alpha to get it done.

Jaxon was pretty much the same as Viggo, except he had a bit more time to get use to the idea. He also wanted Viggo no matter what. And his damn ex-Alpha kidnaps Xander to get him back. They both will protect each other with everything in them, now if only they could get to the claiming.

I absolutely adored the crazy nurse that refuses to go home. This story was a blast and I had so much fun reading it.  I think Liza Kay is going to be a new favorite author for me.
