Adrian is a geneticist for the Glass Research Company. He’s the one who has been turning humans in shifters, but he did it only to save his brother, even if he knew it was a horrible thing to do. The company kidnapped him, and Adrian hasn’t seen him in nearly two years. Thinking Gabriel is probably dead, Adrian decides to run away from the company and turns to the only people who can help him—the Whitedell Pride.

Joshua has known Adrian was his mate for months, but he doesn’t want to mate someone who experimented on humans and shifters alike, not after what happened to his sister thirty years earlier. Still, when Adrian is in danger, Joshua knows he’ll help him.

What will Joshua do when another shifter steps in and decides he wants Adrian?

Will he let Soren have his mate, or will he finally realize that Adrian is his?

Review: Each book in the Whitedell Pride collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. I love the way Catherine Lievens can put together a book that not only fascinates you but draws you in. I had a blast reading this and look forward to reading more by Catherine.

Adrian lost all of his family except for his brother. He would do anything for the man and has proven it. When Gabe was kidnaped and held, Adrian had to do a job he hated to find a way to get his brother back. He was a geneticist and had been forced to turn humans into shifters. It didn’t go down the way they thought though.

Oliver had been one of those who had been shifter and Adrian had helped to make it a bit easier. For doing that he had been forgiven by almost all of the pack except for his mate. He knew that by quitting he was probably going to get his brother killed, but he couldn’t do it anymore. He knew that the pack would help him, even if it meant he was going to see his mate. A mate that did not want him and hated him.

Adrian couldn’t be more wrong. Joshua had many issues and one of them was that his sister had been kidnapped and experimented on. He had lost her, but wasn’t sure that he could be a mate to someone like those who had killed his sister. All that changed when Adrian left the company and the company hunted him down. He had to save his mate and to decide if he wants him enough to forget what he did.

This story has a bit of a twist to it that I loved. Especially the squirrel, which had me giggling through most of it.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.
