Blurb: Betrayed by his peers and slandered as a traitor, Commander Thierry Donovan has nothing left. Locked away and targeted by the very men responsible for his incarceration, Thierry defies the odds and fights for the fundamental right to survive the hell-hole of his imprisonment. With no one to trust, Thierry finds solace in the last place he imagines…

The church is Ryan Flynn’s sanctuary. He craves the solitude and peace he finds in the hallowed halls. His oath to serve God is a calling Ryan has hidden behind all of his adult life; until his past catches up with him in the form of his foster brother, Special Agent Orrin Hunt…

Submerging himself within a world of danger, violence and corruption is the only way Orrin can cope with life. Rejected and tormented by the bitter remorse of unrequited love, Orrin is oblivious to the beauty of what life can offer him. If he’d only open his eyes, and maybe his heart….

Jaydan Callahan’s life is a wreck. Gangs, drugs and violence are a part of his normal day to day routine. For one so young, he’s seen it, been there, done it and gotten more than enough tee shirts as proof. Capable of smelling a cop from a mile away, it comes as no surprise to Jay when the guy he has the hots for is actually working undercover to bring down the town’s notoriously dangerous king pin.

Four men, four lives, each one of them stained by lies, corruption and doubt. Can love show them the path to redemption, or will broken oaths, fear and grief make the crosses they bear too heavy a mantle to carry?

Review: This is the first book that I have read by these two authors and I must admit that I was shocked and amazed. Although I might not have picked it, because it definitely was not a book that I would have chosen at any other time. I would have regretted it though.

I was amazed at how well the story just seemed to flow as well as being well paced and exciting. Thierry had been set up to take the fall for a crime he had not committed. His commanding officer was a definite ass. Ducaine definitely had it in for him. He asked for one thing and that was for a Priest to come in. I don’t think he had expected Father Ryan Flynn.

If it wasn’t for his foster brother Orrin, he might have said no. Orrin had requested him to talk to this particular prisoner. They see each other and damn there is heat that is for sure. There are a lot of kinky men in this book.

Then there was Jay, who is just a sweet kid living in a world of drug dealers. He is madly in love with Orrin, who is in love with Ryan. It is a bit complicated. Then there are the D’s who just make you want to smile or laugh.

The problem I had with it was the fact that Ryan was a priest. It just comes off very wrong for me. I can see hiding in the closet, but not the priest part. It just makes it sick to me, and made me feel like the author was throwing it in gods face. Which is saying something from me, because I am a definite non-believer. Other than that little problem, all I can say is damn.

Murder, cross-dressing, ass spanking, suspense, action and some damn kinky sex is one aspect you get from this book. For such a long book, it keeps your mind occupied. In fact once I started reading, I couldn’t put the damn book down.

Other than wanting to kick one of their sexy asses throughout most of the books, there is so much to say about these guys. You will cry throughout the book and probably laugh at some parts of it. I must say that this has been a great book to add to my library

. Even though I couldn’t stand the religious parts, the fact that he was a priest, or all of the words used it was a great book. I had a great time reading it and look forward to seeing what else these authors have out.
