Blurb: Is what others think of you really that important?

Caleb and his friends have been in Gillham for months, but the memories of what happened to him in the lab still torture him. He took the habit of sleeping in the forest in his chinchilla form to avoid waking his friends with his nightmares. One night, he finds a man under his tree, and that man is his mate.

Freddy knows most of the pack doesn’t like him. He used to be a drug dealer, and while he did it so his brother stayed out of that life, he knows it’s not a good enough excuse. He’s not angry at the way the pack treats him, and when he meets his mate, he expects Caleb to behave the same way.

He doesn’t. Caleb’s friends aren’t enthusiastic of Freddy being his mate, though, and when one of them makes it clear that he expects Freddy to do everything to keep Caleb safe from his father—even if that means dying—Freddy decides he’s right and decides to confront his dad.

Review: Each book in the Council Enforcers collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in s
sequential order.

There is nothing better then a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved. They are entertaining and have just the right mix of feelings in them. There is also quite a bit of danger or excitement in it as well. This one caught my attention and kept it all the way to the very end. I love the mixture of characters that this story and the other ones have in it. Will always keep you entertained.

Caleb is a very cute little chinchilla shifter who has been hurt. Him and his friends were together in a lab, and then escaped. They had not known those who were doing the rescuing were the good guys, so they ran. That is until the same rescuers saved their butt’s when they were stealing food from a fae group. He always put a smile on his face and joked around, but it was hiding his true feelings. Feelings that forced their way out in his nightmares. That was why he chose to seep in a tree. A tree that his mate sat under.

Freddy did everything he could to keep his brother not only safe but out of the criminal lifestyle. He just hadn’t expected his little brother to be saving his ass and bringing him back to the Gillham pack. He was an ex drug dealer who was trying to stay on the right path, but his past was coming for him.

I love the way this author puts together a story that not only draws you in but keeps you entertained as well. They have a serious tone to them, but there is a bit of humor floating around. I do get a kick out of the whole thing. I can’t wait to read the next book.
