Review: Jace got out of a bad relationship with Dylan and went home to stay with his family. His mother was depressed and his little brother had some problems that had to be taken care of with special care. However Dylan follow’s him and things just take a twisted turn. When Dylan goes missing Jace is the one they suspect. That is except for one of the Detectives.

The story was fast paced but left me with more questions then answers. Will, the detective likes Jace and things heat up. Only problem the detective is kind of flaky, then at the end it just moves forward to fast. This story does have you trying to figure out the mystery of what happened to Dylan, but it wasn’t really that hard to figure out. I can tell you that this author put a lot of work in learning about domestic abuse, it showed in the story. That was a nice surprise.

I liked Jace quite a bit and the poor guy just didn’t get a good chance at all. However Will is a pompous jerk and couldn’t stand him. Although I do understand he was the detective and Jace was the suspect and what would happen if it came out, but really the guy still pushed it sometimes. I wasn’t as caught up in this story as I should have been and that was disappointing.

It is a very good story but for me it felt like the author rushed the last part of the story. It was a nice surprise from some of her other stories, but I am afraid that I just didn’t much care for parts of it.
