Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Toni Griffin author of Determined Mate.

Hi Toni, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself, your background, and your current book.

I live in Darwin, the smallest of Australia’s capital cities. I hated english with a passion at school and found my strength lay with numbers.

Now, I love escaping to the worlds I create and hope to continue to do so for many years to come. I’m a single mother of one and I work full time at a Casino. When I’m not writing or spending time with my daughter you can just about guarantee that I’ll be reading one of the many MM authors I love.

Determined Mate is the second book in my Holland Brothers series, and stars Jason Matthews and Alex Holland. I’m here to celebrate its recent release in Audio.

Describe your book to us.

Jason arrives on Alex’s doorstep, looking for his friend. He’s hurt and scared and afraid of just about anyone after what he’s been through. Alex, a strong Alpha wolf shifter needs to learn that what he wants isn’t always what’s best for everyone. Jason has to heal from his trauma and Alex needs to give him the time to do so. What they don’t realize is that the man who hurt Jason to begin with is getting desperate and needs to find him before Jason opens his mouth and ruins everything.

Have you ever read something that made you think differently about your genre? Can you tell us what it was?

Yes, there’s actually been a hell of a lot recently that has made me look at it differently, from plagiarism to infighting, to the massive drama that erupted around bisexuality. The entire thing was just depressing and made me want to retreat into a cave for a couple of days.

Tell us about your character’s family life?

Alex lives with his three younger brothers in a massive house. They’re wolf shifters and pack means everything to them. Marcus has met his mate, Brian, his other two brothers are yet to have their HEA at the time this is set. Alex works hard every day as he owns his own business. His dad is the previous Alpha and his mum is awesome. He couldn’t have picked two better parents.

Compare yourself to your main character.

Alex is a tattoo artist, very artistic, I don’t have an artistic bone in my body. LOL

Alex can’t cook to save his life, where as I love it.

We both don’t like cleaning, as I’m single I’m forced to do it though.

Alex rides a motorbike, where, I’ve never even sat on one.

Describe your past week as a type of landscape or a weather forecast.

The Griffin residence has had a high rate of productivity in the last week, leading to the completion of a project. We expect this to slowly die out in the coming days as the cyclone known as ‘interruptus teenagerus’ returns from holidays.

Review: Once again, Toni Griffin rocks my world. This series should be read in sequence, it’s just better that way.

This story about broke my heart with Jason’s story. He is so gentle, kind and a heart made of gold, and he just grabs your heartstrings. You can’t help but fall in love with him. And his mate Alex feels the same way. Alex is the alpha of his pack and treats his mate as if he is the most special person in his life, which of course he is as he should be. You can’t help but fall in love with him and the way he is so tender with Jason.

At first when I heard Dominic start speaking I wasn’t for sure if I was going to like it. Then I remembered that this story takes place somewhere else so his accent made sense. I enjoyed the different voices he gave each character and even made mom sound like a mom. I had fun listening to his voice for each one and just wished I could have listened to him for a bit longer.

This audio book is so full of love, pain, and sadness, but the love will win all the way around. The sex is so passionate and truly hot. Even with the danger out there waiting for Jason, you can tell the Alex will protect him with his life. It will keep you spellbound and on the edge of your seat.

I am so glad to have found this series as it shows me that true love will heal all wounds. I am very glad to have this book in my library and cannot wait to add the others to it.
