Blurb: Neil Morgan knows there’s a high price to fine quality, but simply never thought of it in reference to a person. As a New York businessman, Neil must keep up appearances even if he dislikes what’s required of him. While trying to contain his shock at the activities of the local Buy Ball, a gorgeous ocelot propositions him.

Cecil Torres wants the right master and he thinks maybe he’s found the one when he stumbles upon Neil at the Ball. Getting Neil’s attention is easy—Cecil’s trained to make an entrance—but getting a smart man to agree to a risky bet is another matter. Never one to renege on a bet, Neil gladly pays the steep purchase price. Cecil plans to be everything Neil needs. And as an ocelot, no other cat is as qualified to be the perfect host, in every way.

After one eventful evening, Neil and Cecil hit a bump in the road. Can a misunderstanding of words and Neil’s error in not reading the fine print cost them everything?

Review: This is book two in this series and they need to be read in order. It gives you an insight into their world and their lives. Slaves are not considered anything but slaves. They are used and abused by many. Although there are some that are considered high-priced. They are still used sexually.Neil had been raised by parents that showed love as cruel and deadly. All he wanted was to purchase a slave to entertain the men at his poker parties given for his company.

What he finds is a very sexy little man who entices him into a little bet. A bet that if he could get him released, that he must purchase Cecil. Cecil is one of those high-priced slaves. He is an ocelot, a rare shifter. They inprint on the person they have sex with when bitten. That would be what Neil would have to do to purchase Cecil. The other reason that they are considered high-priced is because when they do inprint, they are loyal only to that person, they will do everything to please their mate, very caring, and loving. The downside is that if their mate took another lover or married it would physically hurt them. Although they will let it happen to please their mate.

Neil doesn’t touch him after the first day, until sometime later when he keeps looking at Cecil. He had bought Cecil to entertain and he did like to watch other men with Cecil but he wants Cecil also. Everything was going great till the night Cecil told him he loved him. Neil had made the mistake of not reading anything about ocelots and it almost cost him everything that was starting to matter most.

I loved this book although the idea that they are considered nothing but slaves is horrible. I also wasn’t liking the fact that Cecil was used by Neil’s friends and people he wanted to impress. That was the only part of this series that I didn’t like much. However, the story itself was a top favorite. It is told with just a hint of humor with so much seriousness. It caught my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. I loved it and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.
