Blurb: Darius Mackenzie is the first gay, African-American player drafted to the NFL. After starting with the team, he experiences discrimination in the locker room, which crushes his spirit. It’s not until he meets fellow gay, closeted player Carlos Cortez that he finds the strength to persevere.

But Darius’s newfound friendship with Carlos causes trouble at home with his long-time boyfriend, Tanner Smith. Tanner’s always worried that Darius is going to leave him for someone better—or another player. To show Tanner that Carlos is just a friend, Darius invites Carlos over to dinner.

But when Carlos misinterprets Darius’s friendly dinner invitation as an invitation for something more, will Darius and Tanner’s relationship survive?

Review: This is a very erotic short and for its length, it’s pretty good and very hot! The story centers on the first openly gay football recruit, Darius and his long-term boyfriend, Tanner. Immediately I thought that they were a wonderful couple and very cute together. But then Darius is picked up for a professional football team, there is instantly threats in the form of the closeted players.

In all I liked the plot – there was some insecurity and a lot of sexual tension. I found it a rather satisfying read until the ending. It just felt too abrupt for me, jumping from the last chapter to the epilogue, the previous events weren’t forgotten but I don’t feel like they were dealt with properly. A sexy and sweet read, I suppose you could call it and definitely good when you got a spare half hour or so.
