Blurb: Caden McCullough is twenty-two years old, a fresh graduate, and has been working for a few months as one of the assistants to social media mogul and billionaire, Raphael Shepard. Caden has been hiding feelings for his boss for some time, not knowing that his boss actually feels the same way.

Raphael Shepard isn’t very good with emotions. He’s good at two things: making money, and managing his thriving empire. When he realizes he might like Caden a lot more than he should, Raphael stubbornly denies it, and ends up obsessing like the worrywart he is.

Unable to keep their desires at bay, Raphael and Caden share in a passionate night together. Raphael can’t deny himself any longer—he’s falling for his assistant.

With these new emotions coming to light, will their recently consummated relationship be able to withstand an onslaught from Raphael’s past, as well as his worries for the future?

Review: This is not at all linked with Frey Ortega’s book, A Billionaire’s Gamble, but if you have read that you will enjoy Falling for the Assistant, perhaps even more than the former. I feel the following opinion needs repeating for this review, although I have said it before of Frey Ortega: I have yet to find a Frey Ortega book that I do not enjoy. And I really loved this one – sometimes, when I’m ultra-stressed I love nothing more than reading a book that I describe as a “trashy romance”. Trashy in the fact that the plot line reminds of a typical Mills and Boon novel minus the inevitable pregnancy, because this is neither a paranormal or m-preg book (though I would read that too!).

And this certainly does fall under the old trashy romance banner, I think. We got a rich, sexy guy who is a bit lost when it comes to love, and he happens to fall in love with his sexy, smart and super efficient assistant. There is also a crazy ex thrown into the mix. In this case, the sexy and smart assistant is Caden. He’s been Raphael Shepherd’s assistant for a few months now, in New York, after graduating college. Raphael requires Caden to leave New York and move over to California to continue his role as assistant while his California assistant goes on maternity leave. Yet, all Raphael wants not only his wonderfully efficient assistant in his life he also wants him in his bed.

The guys are complete opposites of each other but they work so perfectly together. The sexual tension is sizzling and obvious from the start. Caden is the type of man that can calm the tense millionaire and it’s not just because he can make work life easier. He just has type of fun personality that compliments Raphael’s serious personality. But in between all that, Raphael’s other assistant, Serena, is there to steer the lover’s true in some sort of energetic, pregnant fairy godmother sort of way.
