Blurb: He’s hot. He’s dangerous. And he can’t remember anything.

As the owner of Apple’n Pies, Joe Applin leads a quiet, uneventful life, content to spend his days serving customers who come from all over to eat his delicious homemade pies. Along with his motley crew—Bea, Elsie, and Donnie—Joe couldn’t be happier in his little kingdom of baked goods and java.

Experience has taught Joe that love is overrated—and at times dangerous. He has no intention of repeating past mistakes. But then he meets a mysterious, handsome man with amnesia, and Joe can’t deny something sweet is in the works. He isn’t one to take risks, not with his heart and certainly not with his life, but the more time he spends with the man he knows as Tom, the closer he is to losing both.

Review: I came across Charlie just a few months ago when I found out about the first book in her Thirds series and I knew that I had to read her stories. Damn was I glad to have gotten my hands on this book. She just has this way of giving you a story that draws you in and keeps you captivated till the very end. The characters are beautifully written with a lot of depth and details. My only complaint was that there was no pie around here to munch on while I read this book.

Joe is a sexy pie maker who would make even a nun drool. To top it off his pies would make anyone a happy camper. He runs his little cafe with a quirky old woman and two feisty teens. He didn’t know what he would do without them. At one time he had not known if he would have it. His ex-boyfriend’s father had sent some guys to do some damage to him. He still didn’t know who his angel was, but he always wanted to tell him thank you. One night he hears moans, only to find an injured man in the garden and knew things were going to get dicey.

Tom had been injured and was hiding. The only problem was he didn’t have a clue who he was hiding from. Hell, he had no clue who he was. All he knew was that Joe turned him the hell on and he would do everything to protect him and his little family of misfits.

There are a lot of quirky and funny behaviors in this book. First off, always talking to himself, putting his head in the over and just blushing as hot as a fire engine. I loved Bea, and the two quirky teens. They were a great addition to this story.

I had a blast reading this and look forward to Charlie’s next book. This was a hit with me and I can guarantee that you will love it too.

I would definitely recommend this book.
