Review: I was excited to read this book after reading the blurb. Very well written, action packed in some scenes, and intense. After being kidnapped by the Chinese and tortured, Seth is traded for another man and taken home. While there, he learns that, he is to become the next Don.
After tailing Vera one time it seemed that page after page was nothing but Domenico trying teach Seth about being a don. I didn’t see it myself as I didn’t understand how raping(If someone says no and the other person keeps going that’s rape and there were rape scenes several times in this book) him several times, degrading him, continuously putting him down, mocking him and hitting Seth.
From what I could tell, Domenico was jealous of Seth as he felt he would’ve made a better don and it mentions that in the book and he abused the trust that was given to him to hurt Seth because of that. Domenico and Seth are actually half-brothers.
While this story was good, I had problems with some of the so-called intimate scenes. But the rest of the story is quite good. Full of action, drama, mystery, and intense fight scenes. I can’t wait to read what else happens in the next book considering Seth is ordered to marry a woman so that should be interesting to see if he follows through or if something else happens.
