The need for revenge is gone, being replaced by a growing love on Garrett’s part. He wants more from Jack Sutton than sex. He wants a future with the other man, but doesn’t know if they can get beyond the memory of the death of Garrett’s mother, and Jack’s part in the unthinkable tragedy.

Review: Each book in the Silver’s Studs collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. However they can be read as a standalone.

Jack was young and stupid, and it had cost a woman her life. He had served five years in prison and it took him three more years to come home. He continued to feel the guilt and heart ache of what he had done. When he got injured in a fight, he had come to a doctor to get it taken care of. He just hadn’t expected it to be the woman’s son.

Garrett was full of anger and pain. He wanted revenge and he had decided to take it when Jack came to him. Then his heart took over and now he needed to fix what he had done. He also had to show Jack forgiveness in more ways than one.

Even though this didn’t follow the story line like the first two books, I think this one is the best so far. I truly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more by this author. It was beautifully written and the characters were well-developed. It captured my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end.

I would definitely recommend it.
