Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

Jake has seen his friends and fellow Doms from the BDSM club Indiscreet find love with their subs. Now Jake wants the same thing. He has decided to ask the Sub Club to help him find the perfect sub for him. But before any plans can be put into play, he meets Davey. Davey tries to pickpocket Jake, but he is not very good at it. Once Jake hears Davey’s story he thinks he has found the perfect partner for himself.

Davey has never had the best in life experiences. He was a ward of the state going from foster home to group homes. Because he was small, he took the brunt of the bullying and physical abuse. But he still managed to make himself into an amazing paralegal. However due to circumstances he is now down on his luck with only twenty dollars to his name.

When he is caught by Jake, he spills his whole story out to avoid being turned into the cops. When Jake makes him an offer, that is both professional and personal, Davey takes a risk and accepts.

I liked Jake and Davey. Jake is a lawyer and knows how the world works, but still is looking for someone to love and take care of. Davey has had years of abuse behind him and never had a friend or a relationship. Davey pushes all of Jakes buttons, but Davey has big doubts about the BDSM lifestyle, as the idea of beatings and pain do not do it for him. The biggest issue the two face, is not falling in love but trust, of both each other and themselves.

This book was a little different from the others in series. This was a slow build to the more intimate aspects of their relationship. They actually start building and meshing their lives together before they even get to the sex. They start working and living together right away, and Jake takes Davey to the club to get to know everyone and learn about BDSM before anything happens in the bedroom. Jake gives Davey friends and people to talk to about what is going on. There are some conflicts and some misunderstanding but with help from their friends, they are able to work out what they need to.

This was a great addition to the series. I liked the different route it took from most of the other books in the series. But in the end, there is another happy and committed D/s couple. I look forward to more from the Sub Club and their Doms.
