Blurb:   Javier “Jay” Ortiz had always considered the Fourth of July a time for celebrations, fireworks, and cookouts – that is, until he met Michael Ritter, a US Army veteran traumatized by the horrors of war. For Michael, the Roman candles sound like rockets and the pops and blasts of fireworks mimic rifles and grenades. When bitter memories suck him into the hell of his own mind, can his partner’s love bring him back?

Review:  Short, Sexy and Steamy………….. and what is that? My three favorite colors!

A short story that takes place several months after The Telling. Jay and Michael have settled into a comfortable life. It’s not without a few bumps in the road though. After Michael suffered an episode on New Years, Jay is determined to make this July 4th episode free. As usual, life gets in the way. Jay is unavoidably detained and finally arrives home to find Michael hiding in the closet. Can the tools he’s learned over the past few months coupled with his love for Michael bring him back from the brink of a breakdown?

When these two love each other it is passionate and fierce, and their latest lovemaking wouldn’t dare be any different. In a rare show of dominance, Michael takes the lead and proceeds to pound Jay into the mattress. He proceeds to f*ck Jay and the sheets off the bed, and is dangerously close to breaking the headboard and driving the mattress into the floor as well! Like I said; short, sexy and steamy!
