Review: Each book in The Amsel Clan collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
Kazy Reed has now topped my number five favorite paranormal romance writers. This story rocked perfectly. It has its serious tone but damn did I spend most of my time laughing my ass off.
Jake is the son to two vampires but so far is still human. However times are still hard for them and even worse when you are a teenager. Trouble at school has finally taught him that it is just not worth it. He didn’t really have any friends and had just been outed at school for being gay. To his surprise it would seem he had one friend he had not expected.
Will had always liked Jake but was afraid to show him. He comes to the conclusion that his parents are slayers and must warn Jake’s family. Things don’t go completely as planned for it seems Will is not who he thinks he is.
I absolutely loved this story and can’t wait to see if there are more coming. It gave me sexy vampires, excitement, quirky family members, danger and some hot sex. I loved all the characters in this story and if I could I would definitely give this a higher than five rating.
I loved this book and would definitely recommend it.
