Blurb: August Rinehard took his job as a soldier in the shifter’s rebel army seriously. This lone wolf had a simple mission: find India and get her back. Their beloved leader’s sister has been targeted by the humans and if they get her, the world could delve into utter chaos. However, along the way, he finds a hurt wolf, Kory, a shifter that was subjected to the human’s entrapment and torture.

The two hit it off immediately and the passion between them sizzles. But the lone wolf doesn’t want a relationship, or worse, mate. While they search for their leader’s beloved sister, the pull of the moon is nearly unbearable. A quick romp in the sack leads to the beginning of the bonding phase that neither of them can deny. Can these two loners find a happy life together?

Review: Each book in the Shifters of North Point collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

This book actually has a dark tone to it. There is very little humor, which is if you can find it and for me that was a negative. I want my stories to have a bit of humor in them and this one didn’t have it. I wasn’t so sure if I actually wanted to finish this book or not, but it has a great story line that will keep your attention that is for sure.

August is one hell of a soldier for the shifter’s rebel army. He is tough, loyal and downright mean some times. He finds a human chained to the wall and a wolf stuck in a trap. The human could die for all he cares, but the wolf was unlike any wolf he had ever seen. The human turned out to be none other than one of the scientist who experimented on wolves. He was also Gregory’s son. They wanted Gregory dead right along with his partner.

Kory had been one of the experimented on wolves and he was stronger than any ever born. He wants paybacks for what had been done to him and it meant trusting August. Then a quick sexy time, ended up starting a bond with the man. Things were going to get real interesting real fast. Too bad they had to deal with Jeffery and his experiments.

I did enjoy reading this but there was something missing to truly enjoy. I hope that the next one has a bit of humor in it.

I guess I will wait and see what book three has in it.
