Blurb: Running away from his problems isn’t an option anymore.
For three years Dakota Weaver has done nothing but run from a man that wants to hurt him. He changes his name and takes a job as far away from the last place he lived as he could get.

The Heath’s are great people and he loves his job. It reminds him of the home he left behind all those years ago. Dakota has looked over his shoulder for far too long and has come to the end of his rope.

The first time Jackson sees Dakota on his best friend Travis Heath’s farm, he wants the man. All of Jackson’s flirting gets him nowhere with the man though.

Jackson overhears a telephone conversation Dakota has with his brother and gets a whole new perspective on Dakota’s life and what it’s really like.

Review: Each book in the Pickleville collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Hot damn April has written another amazing story. I had not heard of April Kelley till I started reading this series and I was amazed with the stories she comes up with.

The guys at the ranch have so much compassion and love that it makes you wish you were right there with them. I have books that are in my favorite list, and it wasn’t till I actually started reading this series, that I knew I needed to revise that list. Now I have my top five favorite paranormals and my top five contemporaries. This is one of my top five contemporaries.

There is something about this story that had me in tears. The fear that Dakota had felt for over three years makes you wish you were there to rip the man who hurt him apart. Three years ago he had basically a one night stand that turned dangerous. He had a stalker. Running has left him without a home and friends. He had to leave his family behind to stay alive. Now he has found a home that he wants to keep but fear keeps him from the man that he wants. Then he realizes that without Jackson, he was just an empty shell.

Jackson had always had one night stands, never settling with just one person. That stopped when Dakota came to work on the farm. He wanted him, but for some reason the man kept his distance from Jackson. Then the truth came out, and Jackson wants blood. He will do everything to keep his man safe.

It was the perfect story for me and I loved it. When Kelley puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.
