About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Noble started telling stories before she actually knew how to write, and her family was very happy when she learned to put words on a page. Those words turned into fan fiction that turned into a genuine love of M/M romance fiction. Being able to share her works with Dreamspinner is really a dream come true. She has a real love for all things sci-fi, futuristic, and supernatural and a bit of an unnatural interest in a super-volcano in Wyoming.

Elizabeth has three grown children and is now happily owned by an adorable mixed breed canine princess named Rosie, and two cats, Murphy and Yeti. She lives in her native northeast Ohio, the perfect place for gardening, winter and summer sports (go Tribe!). Review: Val loves horse-racing and horses, working at a track and living on a training farm has him close to the action and after his disastrous last couple of relationships he’s perfectly happy to be single. When Val’s best friend Janelle is snatched by her abusive ex-boyfriend and severely injured Val steps into help and Janelle’s estranged father, Wyatt, comes into the picture. As Val and Wyatt become close they discover a dark side to horse-racing and Val is soon in the killer’s sight.

This is a very enjoyable story in the world of horse-racing where two men come together and help solve mystery dealings in the horse-racing world. Val has had abusive boyfriends in the past so when Janelle’s boyfriend is abusive and she dumps him Val is supportive and keeps an eye out for her, so when he witnesses Janelle being shoved into her car he follows and it leads to more than he ever bargained for. Wyatt is estranged from Janelle but has followed her life as best he can from a distance, when he learns that she was injured he rushes to her side and as he shows her the truth of the past and repairs their relationship he falls for her best friend Val, and gets pulled into solving the mystery that surrounds his daughter.

I found this story to be interesting and enjoyed watching as Wyatt and Val connected and began a relationship; their relationship is built up slowly and they get to know each other before they plunge into a relationship. The mystery surrounding Janelle and her kidnapping is really well done, you are given bits of information that you can piece together and leading to the explosive conclusion. The story moves along smoothly and the characters are interesting, you get to enjoy the dark dealings without being lost by the information that is revealed and we get to see a sweet romance.

I recommend this to those who love horse-racing mysteries, relationships being repaired and flourishing, new romances developing and a very happy ending after some danger and angst.
