Blurb: Alastar Connors’s studies of the changelings who live in the forest beyond the Great Iron Wall have been greatly aided by his friendship with the mischievous Gadhar. As a faerie creature, Gadhar’s soul takes a frightening shape, but he’s always behaved as an eager-to-please puppy around Alastar.

When an intimate moment leads to an unexpected revelation, Alastar fears he may have jumped to some ill-informed conclusions about his friend.

In his attempts to fix the misunderstanding, Alastar stumbles into the kind of trouble that even a quick-witted changeling might not be able to get him out of.

Review: Alastar has studied the lives of changelings for some time, but he was always told never to talk to certain ones. He had a strange friendship with Gadhar, but there was also the rule that a changeling could never go behind the gates. So in a time of need he breaks the rule, but finds out that Gadhar might be more than he had expected.

Now this one is a bit strange and not as appealing as it would seem. Also the ending was just down right wrong. It gives a hint of what could happen but that was it. I was quite displeased with this story and ended up giving up.

This was one story that was just not for me.

Blurb: Summer break is a time to relax and reconnect at the family cabin in the Eastern Sierras. Unfortunately for squirrel shifter Jamie, his first day back is anything but restful. When his adoptive brothers can’t resist winding Jamie up and sending him on a wild squirrel chase for last season’s buried nuts, he finds himself diverted from his mission in the best possible way.

Sawyer is a man stuck in a tree with no way down, and things are about to get a little weird when one very inquisitive squirrel turns up to save the day. At least it’s not the mountain lion who chased him there to begin with. Still it takes a while before Sawyer’s convinced he’s not seeing things. By the time he’s got his feet back on the ground, it’s Jamie who needs a little TLC—fortunately for both of them, Sawyer’s tent is close by, and Sawyer has the perfect way to heat things up.

Review: Jamie is a squirrel shifter who lives among a bunch of big ass cats. He was adopted into the family but I am not sure if I would say it is a happy place. So while out he finds a sexy human stuck in a tree. It would seem that one of his brothers ran the poor guy up one. Not a great way for an introduction if I might say so.

It is a cute story but with all short stories they just seem to be missing something extra. In this one they give you an insight into the pain in the ass brother but then zip. You would think there would have been a bit of a payback given. Other than that it was a blast to read.

Review: Dustin has just been traded to the Arizona Hares. He wondered if they even had lakes, because his otter was not pleased one bit. What’s more, his new captain is getting on his nerves. That is until Chandler shows him that he wants to get on more than just that.

This is a fun little read, just perfect for that stress free break one would need. It has quite a bit of humor to it which was not a surprise but quite enjoyable. I love the unique characters and the fact that they play hockey. I just got a kick out of that little twist to this story.

It was fun and I would definitely recommend it.

Review: Jackson is one unusual wolf. He hates meat and hates to kill. He thought he was alone until a bear lets him in on a secret.

This story is way too short to give you a good idea of what it is about without giving away the story. It was too damn creepy to even get a liking for. It starts off better than it ended that is for sure. I am afraid that this is one story that was not for me.

I was quite disappointed in it altogether.

Review: I have never really been a fan of horse shifters so I wasn’t ready to read this one. There is just something about them that doesn’t seem right to me. Illustrious Ruckus is a champion horse who is retiring from racing. Illustrious Ruckus is also James Kirby, shape shifting horse. Archie is a journalist that wants to write a story on both horse and rider. He is also very attracted to James. However he has a secret of his own.

Now it is a cute little story, but it has a lot of missing points in it. It gives a little friction but no true outlet to it. I am afraid that I am still not a fan of horse shifters. However this one does have potential of being a pretty cool story. I just wished that it had been more to it then what it has going on.

Review: Noel loved animals quite a bit, so when one started showing up at home he just automatically took him in. To his shock and surprise it would seem his little cat had one hell of a secret.

This one is way too short to actually give you a proper description of the story without giving the story away. In fact it was just too short for anything more than a taste. I hope that the author will add a bit more to it, because it has some pretty good potential but for now it was just plain cute.

I did enjoy it and would recommend it. It is pretty good for that time you just need a break.

A Dove's Wing by Katya Harris

Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥4.5 Hearts

Blurb: When his nephew shoots a dove with a BB gun, veterinarian Abel March promises the remorseful boy that he will take care of the bird and its broken wing. He doesn’t count on the dove changing into a (very naked) man in the middle of the night.

The shapeshifter’s name is Darcy and his clan has just moved into the area, much to the dismay of some of the residents who hold prejudices against their kind.

Sweet and sometimes sassy, Darcy is the first man Abel has felt connected to for a long time. He wants to keep him safe, and when someone threatens him, Abel reacts with unusual ferocity. He’s falling in love with Darcy, but when circumstances separate them, he’s left not knowing if the sentiment is returned.

The answer to that question will change both of their lives forever.

Review:  Out of all of these stories this one has more detail and depth to it that made it more enjoyable. Although I have to say that I really didn’t much care for the title at first. It didn’t catch my attention like it should have. However the story was pretty damn good.

Abel is a veterinarian who loves his nephew something fierce. It sure didn’t stop when the little brat brought in the dove he shot. The kid felt bad about it right before the bullet hit. Abel just hadn’t expected to find instead of a dove the next morning but a naked man. A naked man who just seemed to turn him the hell on. It would seem Darcy and his clan all moved into the area. Too bad the townsfolk are bigoted asshats who need to be knocked upside the head.

I had more fun with this story then I thought I would. It was light and very cute little story with a bit more bite to it.

I loved the amount of humor I found in it and would definitely recommend this book.

Review: I have got to tell you that these guys can definitely get it on. I have had trouble finding books where they are not the same old same old shifter but this one damn it was a hoot.

You get Aaron who just happens to turn in to a raccoon. He also has trouble finding dates and keeping his apartment clean. Then there is Philip who has Aaron’s heart. Philip turns into the cutest little skunk. Talk about a shocker.

I had so much fun reading this story and wish that it was going to be made longer. I want to know what their future will hold. However even if it is not about these two guys, I hope that this amazing author will give me a full size story with more raccoon and skunk shifters. I spent most of the time laughing.

It is a cute little story that will warm your heart.

I would definitely recommend it.

Review: Sam had decided that he needed a dog seeing as he lived in the middle of nowhere Colorado. He just had not expected to leave the shelter with a cute dog and make it home to find a naked man wearing the dog’s collar. Philip was on holiday and got caught by the dog pound, while he was in his dog form. Talk about a surprise for Sam, although I have to say that I do hope that Philip actually stays with Sam, because he is such a goofball.

This was a blast to read, although it was a bit depressing in parts of it. I wish that it had been longer with a bit more to it. I enjoyed it quite a bit though and would definitely recommend it. It was funny as hell and the characters were quirky and a joy to read about.
