Blurb: Noll is determined to bring down Harrison using any means necessary. He miscalculated letting Orion escape, but he won’t screw up with Harrison’s human friend, Evan. Evan is ripe for Noll’s seduction. Noll must first get over the fact that he himself is a virgin when it comes to men.

Confident that he will get his way, Noll plays the abused victim to lure Evan to care for him. His second big mistake comes when he takes Evan home to his compound where no one wants the human there, and they are determined to defy their alpha for his own good.

Warning: This is the “bad guy’s” story. The book contains explicit male/male sexual content from a dark-hearted anti-hero, graphic language, and situations that some readers WILL find objectionable.

Review: I have read many paranormal love stories and most I find intriguing. This particular story had great potential but it is still far behind many others. I was not impressed with it, other than it would have made a good story had the darkness and confusion been out of it. It moved all over and made it hard to truly get into.

You don’t have any good guys at all in these books and that in itself was disturbing. They start off with one attitude, then their personalities change.

Evan had been with Harrison, so much in love that he would allow Harrison to be married to a woman. Then Harrison mates, but Evan doesn’t know that part all he knows is Harrison doesn’t want him in that way. Although Harrison does want something it is not said throughout the rest of the story. Then Evan meets Noll and things get even more bizarre.

Noll wants Harrison dead. He wants them all dead and he plans on using a human to do it. Evan is just a play in the mix. Then by forcing a mating Evan gets more than he bargains for. Now see he was so in love and even angry at Harrison but now all of a sudden he is mated and wants Harrison dead. Yet Noll doesn’t show any love, compassion or positive attitude towards his new mate. It doesn’t come off as a love story but more of a dark sense.

I did not like this story and hate to see what the next book will be like. I was quite disappointed in it. Noll is an ass but Evan seems to be even worse. He is taking everything from Noll including his spirit. He took Noll’s Alpha position and forced his mating which to me is a death sentence in any story. I didn’t much care for this story and would hope that the next one is a bit better.

Blurb: Crowe has been raised in captivity all his life. The day arrives when he is free, and he and the small group of enslaved shifters who stayed by his side venture out to find somewhere they can live in peace.

Although Crowe is quiet and turns into himself to ward off the pain he has suffered, he still manages to lead the others. They wind up in Huntingdon Downs and stop a war between two factions of bear shifters bent on vengeance. Crowe has a connection to Noll and to Harrison, and both alphas want answers before they decide to kill him.

One gentle shifter, Talal, finds himself attracted to Crowe. Talal feels Crowe’s pain and doesn’t believe he is the simple-minded man everyone assumes. He wants to protect Crowe, but Talal isn’t anywhere near an alpha’s status. His power is nothing compared to the others, but he will risk his life to save the man who has only known cruelty.

If Crowe will allow him, Talal will teach Crowe about love and about having a male partner–two things Crowe has never heard of.

Review: This is the third book in this series and even though they focus on a new romantic couple, the story starts with book one.

This story is about a broken hero with a painful past and emotional problems. I was not much into book one and could not stand book two, however this book made up for those ones. Now it is not perfect and has some problems that are a bit confusing. It has more of a romantic tune to it than the others. It doesn’t come off as dark either.

Harrison is an Alpha and was once mated to Greg. Greg is Crowe’s father and Crowe’s mother was also Noll’s. Greg was an evil ass who was killed by Noll. The war between Harrison and Noll was well known but things are slowing down to a short peace. Crowe’s father treated him different from the others but worse also.

He was forced to mate, and forced to live in a cave. His learning had stopped at the age of six and he was not used to being out of the cave. Then the others talked him into leaving. He is terrified of the others and shows it, even though he is a strong alpha. He had never learned that part of himself. Never having shifted into his bear, he didn’t know what to do. Then he ends up in the middle of Noll’s and Harrison’s war. There is one bear who is nice to him, but still frightens him.

Talal is a gentle man and shifter. He wants to help Crowe and is attracted to him also. He knows he must take it slow with the skittish man, but damn is he turned the hell on. He wants to teach him about the world he is in now, but he also wants to teach him about love.

This was a better story than I thought it would be. It still feels like you are left hanging at the end but it was a better ending then I thought. I was happier with this story. You still have the danger but it has more tenderness in it. I wouldn’t go so far as to say I was having a blast with it, but liked it a little better.

I would recommend reading it.

Blurb: As Alpha of his Rocky Mountains Fenrir wolf pack, Corey has a lot on his plate. He thinks things are only getting better when his erotic dreams indicate he’s about to meet his mate. His Beta and best friend invites him on a double date, and Corey agrees, hoping this woman will be his one. To his shock and disbelief, he’s attracted to her brother instead—the big, muscular, overbearing man with a southern drawl. Corey refuses to believe that this cowboy is the one meant to be his mate, but the way his body reacts to one touch is making it hard for him to deny. Devin is aggressive, combative, and he won’t listen to any of Corey’s commands. They butt heads constantly, that is when Corey’s not trying to resist Devin’s hard body. But when Devin gets into trouble with a rival pack, Corey will move heaven and earth to get him back and claim him for his own.

Review: When Corey agrees to go on a blind date with his best friend and pack beta, the last thing he expects to find is his mate, who is actually his blind dates brother! He refuses to acknowledge his growing attraction to Devin. He refuses to admit he is gay. Not only that, Devin is an alpha male wolf as well so the two would never be compatible. When Devin is taken by a rival pack, Corey finally not only accepts but also admits his feelings for the other wolf, and sets out to take back what is his.

Devin and his sister have escaped their abusive pack, or so they thought. Not only is Devin head strong and stubborn but he will do anything to protect his sister. He’s never hid his sexuality so when he meets his mate he’s not at all surprised it’s a man. His mate turns out to be delusional and just as stubborn as Devin is. He sets out to seduce Corey and make him so sexually frustrated he will have no choice, but to claim Devin.

This is by far one of my favourite shifter series. Character development, writing and plot building were predictable, and yet unique. Confusing, I know, you’ll just have to read the books. Corey is dead set on not claiming Devin, while Devin is dead set on being claimed. The push and pull make for some very intense sex and an intriguing read. I’ve read several of Cole’s books and I will tell you, she knows her way around the male anatomy. If you’re looking for something short, fun, fast and sexy as hell just pull her up by name.

Blurb: Steven has an undeniable desire, a passion, a craving–to be tied up and spanked. He wants to be given orders and treated roughly during sex by two big men. He can’t help himself, and resisting the urge will drive him insane. For the last year, he’s been visiting a club where Jasper and Nic meet his needs very well. But Steven also wants a relationship with someone special. He wants to be loved.

Ever since their one date, Patrick has been after Steven to go out again and develop something serious. Steven can’t risk Patrick finding out about his secret. A warm and caring man like Patrick could never understand his desires, so Steven deflects Patrick’s advances as much as he wants to be with him.

When an unexpected disaster happens, everything in the dark must come to light.

Review: I think this is the first time that I have had mixed feelings about an Eden Cole book. Patrick is a gentle man who will do what he must to have Steven, Steven has secret desires that he knows Patrick cannot fulfill so he tries his best to rebuff him and seeks what he wants at a shady club.

Ok, this is what conflicts me about this book – Patrick is a wonderful man and will give Steven anything he needs but he won’t hurt him.  Steven is more like a spoiled brat who wants to have his cake and eat it, when he can’t get what he wants off Patrick he causes fights and tries to look for the men who gave him what he wanted before he got with Patrick. Patrick ends up giving into Steven and he has to stand by while two men hurt the one he loves…all to please Steven.  So that is the conflict I have. Steven and Patrick love each other, but Steven will not be satisfied unless he is being hurt.   So Patrick will let two men have sex with and hurt Steven. I honestly cannot see this as working out between these two men and don’t think it is realistic at all.

Saying that though, the sex is scorching and more than makes up for the story line, so I would recommend this to those who love BDSM, hot sex and multiple partners.
