Blurb: Shepherd knows what people think of him. He’s too big, too tall and too broad not to be scary. But though he looks like a grizzly bear, he’s all teddy on the inside. He’s dreamed of finding someone to love. Someone who can help him break through his shyness and who he can shower with all the affection in his heart.

Kit knows what people think of him. That he’s young, good-looking and kissed by luck. He survived leukemia as a teenager, and he thought he had his entire life ahead of him. But now, the cancer might be recurring—deny it though he might—and Kit’s world has come crashing down. He needs someone like Shepherd. Someone kind and caring, who’s strong enough to lean on.

Kit’s falling fast for the big mountain man—but he hasn’t told Shepherd the truth. He’s afraid that knowing he may be sick will be more than Shepherd can handle. And now, after delaying treatment, he thinks he may be running out of time.

Secrets can be life or death—and when it comes to telling the truth, they can make all the difference.

Review: This is the third book in the St. Hawks Medical series. Kit, a nurse tech, has relapse just when he meets a sexy biker named Shepherd. This book was so good yet so sad at the same time. I really felt Kit’s pain and how afraid he was to get to close to Shepherd.

I admired the way Shepherd did not give up on Kit even after learning what was wrong with him. It was such an emotional book that it had me in tears at times. I was cheering for these two men who seemed to need each other.

Fantastic book. Highly recommended.

In a shadowy game where defeat can mean death, a deal with the enemy can change things forever.

In 1842, Captain Gabriel O’Riordan of the 8th King’s Royal Irish Hussars is sent on a

mission to Bukhara. His task—to try to free two of his compatriots from the clutches of a mentally unstable Emir. On his way, he encounters Valentin Yakolev, an officer in the Russian Army, who is also on a mission—to persuade the Emir that an alliance with Russia would be in his best interest. Gabriel, disguised as a holy man, is not happy to be the object of Yakolev’s intense scrutiny. After all, he’s working for the opposing team in the Great Game being played between their two nations. When Gabriel realises that his mission is little more than a forlorn hope, a game he has no chance of winning, he’s desperate enough to turn to Valentin for help and offers him anything in return. What he doesn’t expect is to have his plans to return to Calcutta scuppered by events.

Instead, he and Valentin flee north, fighting off bandits, their desire for each other and the hardship of desert travel. Their travails bring them closer together until a secret from Valentin’s past tears them apart.

Can they set the past behind them and move on together?

Review: This is the third book in the borders war series and boy does it pack a punch. In this book Merq is torn between loyalties when chaos reigns in the revolution. He goes through some changes as the story unfolds amid betrayal, deceit and some major twists that leave the reader on the edge of their seat awaiting the outcome.

This book spans years not days. So with that being said I loved how the author wrote this book. It has everything, danger, action, romance, and some mind-blowing twists that left me gasping.

Every time I read the next book in this series I am awed by how well written and thought provoking each book is that it draws the reader in its grasp and doesn’t let go until the very end. The plot was awesome, the characters mesmerizing to the point that I could not stop reading.

Highly, highly recommended.
