The Seventh Flower
(World of Love 05: Sweden)
by
Ingela Bohm
Christer is too old to believe in fairy tales. He’s not the kind of guy to pick the proverbial seven flowers on Midsummer’s Eve so he can dream of who he will marry, and he certainly isn’t the type to fall for someone he’s just met. Especially not a womanizing blogger named Henrik.
Besides, Christer’s previous marriage didn’t end with a happily ever after. Therefore he has no interest in gifting his heart to someone who lives five hundred miles away and probably isn’t even gay. His family is right: it’s time he grew up and stopped dreaming.
But Midsummer’s Eve in Sweden is a magical night, and Henrik won’t stop flirting. As the midnight sun shines down on the misty woods, maybe there’s room for one last dream.

Review: I have to admit that this is the second book I have read by this author and am surprised with it. She has a unique way of telling a story that will pull you in and keep your attention. I think my main problems are that they are told in a way that really confuses me more than actually enjoying the story. Whether it is the old tone to them, or the cultural differences or who knows what they just don’t really keep my attention like they should.
This one was a bit different than many stories that I have read and I was pleased. I would suggest reading the first book because I am afraid that since I had not, I was a bit lost with this particular story. It is a fun story though. The characters were well written and fully developed however the story just seemed to drag on for me.
Pax is on tour in England and are playing different types of venues. The problem is there are a lot of people who hate the fact that they have gay members and are getting a hassle for it. Jamie is drinking more and is having trouble with bad news about his mom. He is going downhill fast and Michael can’t seem to help him.
It seems to focus a lot on addiction and depression that will pull at your heart-strings. I do know I wouldn’t want to go through what these guys seem to go through. It just seems that there were missing parts in one section and too much on another. I just couldn’t get into this story like I should have.
I have to admit that I picked it up and would start, then put it right back down. It didn’t catch my attention like it should have and definitely didn’t keep it. I just could not seem to get into the story. It has a lot of potential but is not for me. It just didn’t feel as in-depth as it should have and didn’t rock with me.
I would recommend it though, if you like a bit of a historical story, which is how it came off to me. However my problem was that I had not read the first two stories so I wasn’t caught up in it to begin with.
It is an entertaining story, but not for me.

Title: Rival Poet Series: Shakespeare, #2 Author: Ingela Bohm Genre: Historical (Elizabethan) Length: 250 pages Publisher: Ingela Bohm (June 1, 2015) Heat Level: Moderate Heart Rating: ♥♥♥3 Hearts Blurb: 1587. A young Will Shaksper arrives in London, hoping to publish his poems. But rejection hits him hard, and he wants to give up – until he meets Kit. Dazzled and drawn in, Will is shocked to find their friendship escalate into something else – something dark and dangerous in a country where sodomy is a capital offence.
When Kit finally tries to seduce him, will he be able to resist?
Review: I wished that I could say that this rocked, but I didn’t much care for it. I should have also paid attention that it was historical even though it comes off a bit different than many others do. It has a lot of mystery surrounding it and some hot romance which pulls you in.
Will and Kit are sexy and sweet. I was surprised with their names but they fit them both. The chemistry was hot and sexy. They were fully developed with a lot of details. Their story spans over a few years and flowed perfectly for the story. Although I have to say the pace was a lot better than I had expected. It kept up the story and didn’t give a boring tone to it at all.
There were some parts of the story that even though it caught my attention, it was not favored. You can’t really give too much information without giving the story away though.
Now even though I said the heat between them was hot and sexy, there really wasn’t a lot of sex in the story. It was a complicated type of story and didn’t really pull me in as it should.
Other than my issues with the story this was a very intriguing story that if you like historicals you will definitely want to read it. It is a well written piece that makes you feel like you are right there in that time and place.
I would definitely recommend it, but it wasn’t for me.
