Blurb: Dante is a talented musician. When a hot groupie offers to be his sex slave in exchange for his soul, he thinks it’s a kinky hook up. Instead he’s bound to an Incubus on probation and there’s hell to pay.

Dante is a struggling musician in New Orleans with no time for a social life. He doesn’t know that his passion has caught the eye of some otherworldly creatures who want more from him than the music he makes.

Eroc is a sex demon on probation for showing mercy to a human. When the King of the Incubi hands him the important mission of retrieving Dante’s soul, he knows that it is his last chance. But Eroc never anticipated the pleasure he feels when obeying the sexy musician.

Can the two overcome their differences and make a meaningful relationship out of a shady business deal? Or will they both lose themselves in the roles they’ve been cast to play?

Review: Eroc is an Incubus who has been given the task of getting Dante to enter into a contract for his soul. Unfortunately, Eroc isn’t quite as impervious to the humans’ charms as he thought. Dante inadvertently enters the contract, but he decides to make the best of it as there is no way out.

This is quite a fast-moving novella with a good twist and a very happy ending. Eroc has to get Dante to enter a contract for his soul, but he also has to ensure he does it right after his last mistake. Dante is in a band who wants to hit it big, when he comes across someone in his dressing room he mistakes them for a groupie, to his instant regret. Now Eroc and Dante come to a truce, but Eroc has to go to further lengths to ensure his feelings don’t engage and Dante wants nothing more than for Eroc to let his emotions go.

I really enjoyed this cute novella of an Incubus who needs to gather souls for their King. But, his emotions start to become involved and he has to try to stop them from becoming further entangled. We also has a human who inadvertently agrees to that contract, because he isn’t thinking with his big head *wink wink*. But, what we also have is two men coming together and making beautiful music together (what! They do, it’s a good song), as well as some spectacular sex.

The progression of the story is really quick, over the course of just a couple of days. But, there is a reason as to why it happens so quickly (I’m just not gonna tell you *g*). You get a good feeling for both Dante and Eroc, as we share head space with both of them, and they do make a great couple. They are really hot together in the sack, and we see a little power play (kink, D/s) but it isn’t too heavy and it works really well for them. We also have a little twist at the end when we meet the Incubus King (who sounds interesting).

So if you love Incubi, musicians, slightly D/s sex, hot sex, loopholes, invalidating contracts and happy ever afters, then this is the book for you.

Review: Nico is harboring resentment towards transfer Jin, because he is now top of the class.  knocking Nico off the top spot. Jin is attracted to Nico, but Nico has a wall built around himself that Jin can’t penetrate.  Until they have to work close together on a project and just as everything is going great, Jin’s secret is exposed.

This is a wonderful story about perceptions and resentment and scratching below the surface. Nico is a geek pure and simple and the only thing that he truly thinks he has going for him is his.  And when he is knocked off the top spot he is not happy. Jin is a hard worker, but Nico thinks everything seems to be so easy for him. He’s good looking, he has money, he’s intelligent and everyone likes him. Nico is certain that his friendly charming personality is a front and that one day he will show his true colors. But, as he gets to know Jin better, he begins to realize that with Jin…what you see is what you get.

Ohhh.  I loved Nico and Jin.  Both of them are geeks, but while one is confident in himself, the other is filled with doubts because of his past.  Nico has to put aside his preconceived notion about men like Jin and open himself.  And Jin has to be honest and hope that Nico will understand, but that doesn’t mean that everything is perfect and that is just the way Nico likes it. Nico sees Jin as perfect and that puts him off.  Jin sees Nico exactly like he really is and it isn’t until Nico realizes that Jin isn’t perfect that he fully relaxes into their relationship.

Jana Downs has written a story that is sweet and touching and both her MCs have their own flaws, even if at first glance you miss them. The characters are perfect together and they get to know each other before jumping into bed (which is hot by the way).  Nico’s support for Jin was wonderful ,when he discovered the truth, and Jin’s fear was well written and very understandable.

With this story, I am going to recommend it to those who love flawed characters, hot sex, hot geeks and a happy ending for two sweet men.

Review: Madigan is chucked in the deep end the night of his birthday. His mother always said his father was the Archangel Raphael, but he never believed her.  But, now faced with a group of angels who want to kill him, he has no choice. Now with five angels to protect him, they have to find a way to keep him alive long enough to come fully into his powers.

Okay.  Wow.  Jana Downs has blown this story out of the water. Madigan has just celebrated his twenty-eighth birthday and is attacked.  He discovers, in short order, his father really is the Archangel Raphael and he is a Nephilim and now he is in grave danger. Cross, Michel, Bren, Dex and Yuri are the angels assigned to keep him safe and to find a long-term solution and boy does Yuri find a solution ;-). As we progress with the book, we discover a bit about each of the characters and we have more to come in future books :-).

The idea for this book is quite unique; an Nephilim being assigned 5 Guardian angels to protect him from the Angels who go after all Nephilim, but ending up having to bond with all 5 angels as a way to survive. Madigan having to try to work his way through the shock of who his father is, that he is half angel, that angels are trying to kill him and that he has to bond with 5 angels to survive and it is not all sweetness and light between them all.

Each character is different from the last and they all have great personalities… for them. Seeing the dynamics as they try to establish a relationship is interesting and seeing them trying to find where they fit, not just with Madigan but with each other is great and you can tell that there will be even more clashes in the future for all these men. Now watch your heart rate as you approach the sex scenes because it really is scorching hot and quite explicit and scorching hot (I know I said it twice but it bears repeating.)

So if you want hot angels, hot sex, a good storyline, a bit of conflict, frustration, growly men, scorching hot sex and a happy ending (for now anyway) then you have to give this a shot. P.S. Can’t wait for the next installment, there’s a teaser on Ms. Downs website.

Review: So, we are up to the third book in the series and I ask myself, can Jana Downs continue in the vein in which she started? (Can she keep giving us the good stuff?) And after reading this I have to say…yes, she can!

Salvatore is panting over the little bartender from ‘Daylight’, but is getting absolutely nowhere when he is confronted by one of his consorts. He finally admits that his feelings run deeper than he thought and on her advice he decides to finally ask his little bartender out.   If he is really lucky, then he might even learn his name. Destin (not really his name) has been hurt in the past so just brushes off Salvatore’s flirting as he can never get serious about him.  But then the worst happens and he has no choice but to save Salvatore’s life.  This only makes things even harder for him as Salvatore goes through a vital change.

This is definitely different from the previous books and has an interesting twist. We don’t see much of the Ravyns but what we do see of them is good.  There is one scene where they are all devastated and we see how each of them reacts and it is a really well-written scene.  There is also one scene that will have you gasping in shock, as we learn that there is a spy in the house. In this one, Salvatore knows what he wants but Destin refuses to give in. even when it causes him emotional pain.  It is an uphill battle for Salvatore to gain Destin’s trust.

There is a lot of sex with different partners (seriously, it is integral to the story-line).  But when Destin gives in just once then Salvatore refuses to sleep with anyone else and it is a close call as to who has the stronger will. I thoroughly enjoyed this one as it was well-written. We find out more about Salvatore’s past, we have lots of hot steamy sex, there’s a close call with death (twice!!), Salvatore has a lot to cope with, Destin has to learn to trust his heart and we have a great happy-ever-after and a fantastic new addition to the plot and story-line.

If you like anything from above, then you will love this book.  I will admit that I love how Jana Downs can keep all the Ravyns together without any of them overpowering the book except for the two main characters. And the way that the Ravyns bonds come through as strong as ever, so I am highly recommending this one to all of you.

Blurb: Allasandro, also known as Ally-cat, is a demon warrior with a sense of humor. He’s a legend among his Ravyn warrior brothers and the Demon Prince they guard for his expert pursuit of both male and female admirers. An admitted commitment-phobe, the last thing he wants in life is a “forever” kind of relationship.

The vampire Damian has long since given up on finding true love. Then he meets the cocky Ravyn warrior who ignites his passions like nothing else. He shouldn’t want Allasandro, but he can’t seem to help himself. After living the past decade alone, he’s ready for forever, and the only one who will satisfy him is the one man he shouldn’t desire.

Ally has agreed to look for a boy toy for the vampire on behalf of Damian’s son, Dageus. But the powerful, brooding man that he’s agreed to set up is everything he’s ever wanted in a mate. Damian is breaking his limits faster than he can erect them, and duty and propriety are interfering ever more heavily in their affair. Can Ally commit to the relationship, or is their taboo romance just too much for the warrior to handle?

Review: Allasandro is doing a favor for his fellow Ravyn Dageus (Kal) when he meets a man who pushes all his buttons.  Unfortunately, he also happens to be Dageus’s vampire dad. Damian becomes intrigued by the Ravyn Allasandro and it isn’t long before the sparks and clothes are flying, it’s just a shame that Dageus is against it happening.

This is a great story-line where Ally-Cat finally finds someone who he wants to spend more than just a night with. Ally has been attracted to men in the past but never acted on it; he loves to be the centre of attention and has an out-going personality. Damian is controlling and seems dour, he no longer sings, always having his head buried in spread-sheets, he put his love life on hold when he adopted Dageus and now Dageus wants to find him a boyfriend. What we get from the first with these two men (Damian & Ally) is passionate, intense and kinky, they hit it off great but then a couple of spanners are thrown in.

I must admit I thought that after everything that had happened that Damian’s reaction was quite rational while being un-rational.  Ally’s reaction was to be expected as he didn’t want to hurt his best friend or team and then he felt betrayed.   Dageus can be a right spoiled brat including throwing royal temper tantrums that really made me wonder if he was really a Ravyn or a Diva in disguise. A well written plot that has left a little something for us to dwell on which hopefully we find out more about in the next installment of Ravyn’s Warriors.

So,  if you want conflict, emotional conflict, hot sex, slightly kinky hot sex, tantrums, hints of secrets and a bit of danger thrown in, then I really don’t know what you are waiting for; because this has it all so, go read it and enjoy.

Blurb: Dageus is a demon warrior sworn to protect his Prince even if it means sacrificing his past. Even without his memories, ice blue eyes and hard male touches haunt his fantasies. Despite his disturbing desires, Dageus has more important things to worry about when his prince and fellow warriors travel from Demontia to Earth to escape the assassins hot on their trail.

After years of searching for his lost lover, Kalel, Master Vampire Alexander never expects to find him walking through the doors of his theater. But Kalel is no longer the same young dancer Alex remembers. Kalel is now a Ravyn warrior with a new name and no memory of their love.

When Dageus finds himself face-to-face with the man of his dreams, he can no longer deny the desires that have driven him in the years since becoming a Ravyn. He must learn to balance love and duty in order to find happiness in a world full of killers, vampires, and dances that are hot enough to scorch the sun.

Review: This is a first published work for this author and I am excited to say that it is really good. Dageus is haunted by sparkling blue eyes and a hard body, he is also haunted by the fact that he desires men; he tries to suppress both hauntings by ignoring them and protect his prince. Alex longs for his lost lover and is shocked and delighted when he spots Kalel in the VIP balcony but then upset when he realizes that Kalel can remember nothing of the past.

This is a brilliant storyline and plot, the writing is smooth and flows well and the characters are incredible.   We get to know all of them well and there is some great world-building between the demon realm and Earth. This is a story that makes you love and hate these characters because as you are drawn into the story, you are conflicted on how to feel about the supporting characters.   You are pulled back and forth between loving them, because they are great, and hating them because of what they do to Dageus.   These are the characters that you know that there will be future books about (I can’t wait).

You feel sorry for Dageus/Kalel as the past is revealed and his story unfolds, the emotions between him and Alex are incredible and as they get everything sorted out you root for them. The sex between them is wow! Believe me it’s really hot and sensual and definitely passionate and they are soooo romantic when they first meet up after six years apart.

So I recommend this to those who love danger, vampires, demons, hot passionate sex, a great story and a happy ever after that touches you.
