Review: I must admit that this is the first book that I have read by this author and I was fascinated with the story. It definitely was not my kind of story though. The title caught my attention from the start, then the cover intrigued me even though it freaked me out a bit. I had not even glanced at the blurb when I picked the story.

I must admit though that this book was not what I expected. It was a bit off to me, or should I say weird. Jeremy is the one that made the book basically. He is getting tired of life in the city, so what does he decides to move to the forest. Yeah like that is going to make life better. He has a long journey ahead of him that is for sure.

Brian is supposed to be a different type of character in the book, but he is the one that Jeremy wants to be like. Or maybe that is my opinion. It has a nice twist to it when it comes to characters. I was a bit confused but for me that is normal. It also made the book a bit intriguing.

It was about a young man coming to age and how they handle certain aspects of their lives. For this type of story though, the plot just seemed to work perfectly. For me I was captivated in a way that doesn’t really work for me though.

I am not much for young adult stories and coming of age. So I was not as into it as I should have been. The story itself is well written, with plenty of depth and hidden gifts to a reader. I however was a bit disappointed in the fact that it was not my type of story.

I would definitely recommend it to others though.
