Review: To enjoy this series I would suggest starting with the first book.

Ben was dead and after two years of being gone, Matt needs a change.  Jordan is back in his life but he wants to go slowly and for me that sounds good.  However for the story it wasn’t.  Cops are still after him, there is a homophobic district attorney and Matt is doing some really weird exercises in this book.  There is something major missing from this whole story, but I just don’t know what.

It is a very slow paced story and that right there was a problem for me.  My attention just couldn’t be kept on the book at all.  Now what Matt has gone through is horrible, and then there is Jordan who seems a bit off.  There is no chemistry between them and no passion to be seen.  The whole story just felt off and fell flat to me.  It felt like everything was thrown together and the editors missed some good spots.

The story felt repetitive and boring. It is a dry tone with very little emotion added on, although what the characters are going through is emotional; the story just doesn’t do it justice.  I am afraid that this story and series was just not for me.

Review: To enjoy this series I would suggest starting with the first book.

Now this book does give you warning that tragedy strikes, but let’s just say I wasn’t ready for it and I absolutely hated it after that.  It was the reason that my rating went down.  Also when he was in and out, the paragraphs got smaller and for me just a bit confusing.  Other than my issues with this story, well let’s just say read the story.

Matt was in love with two men.  Jordan and Matt had broken up and gotten back together, but miscommunication and the fact that Jordan was an ass, they ended up over.  Then in comes Ben who Matt had fallen for, but been warned to stay away by his mother and things heat up.  Then tragedy strikes and well you will just have to read the story.

It is an interesting story, if not a bit confusing and dry at some parts of it.  I am afraid that it wasn’t one of my favorites, but it was still an enjoyable read.  I will leave my final judgement after I read the next book.

Review: Alec is a new author for me so I wasn’t too sure what to expect. Now the title is what caught my eye from the start, then I read the blurb and I couldn’t wait to read it. However once I started reading it, I felt a little bit disappointed. The blurb made it sound like this exciting and funny story, however the follow thru was lacking. The sentences were short and very curt, which made the story fall flat and sloppy. The story just didn’t flow right at all for me.

Matt’s job is to protect other people’s property, except he has no clue how to protect himself. Ben is a customer who is very much interested in Matt, but Matt doesn’t realize it. There is probably only one sex scene in the whole book and let’s just say there is no build up whatsoever. They get in the car; go to dinner, to the next morning. You are told that there is some hot sex, but you don’t see it. There is no connection here.

This author stated Feds, but used British terms. It felt like the author got their languages all screwed up. What was supposed to be funny just fell short of being a bit dull. There is no build up and there is no true story here. How did the man get into the business, for one? The location was never stated so one had no clue where they were at. Plus the police part just doesn’t even seem plausible let alone real enough. Plus one night he is in love with Ben, then the next night he is in love with Jordan, but none of it is more than just talk. You get more description about their room then you do anything else.

I was hoping for an exciting story but I am afraid that this story was just not for me.
