Review: To enjoy this series I would suggest starting with the first book.

Ben was dead and after two years of being gone, Matt needs a change.  Jordan is back in his life but he wants to go slowly and for me that sounds good.  However for the story it wasn’t.  Cops are still after him, there is a homophobic district attorney and Matt is doing some really weird exercises in this book.  There is something major missing from this whole story, but I just don’t know what.

It is a very slow paced story and that right there was a problem for me.  My attention just couldn’t be kept on the book at all.  Now what Matt has gone through is horrible, and then there is Jordan who seems a bit off.  There is no chemistry between them and no passion to be seen.  The whole story just felt off and fell flat to me.  It felt like everything was thrown together and the editors missed some good spots.

The story felt repetitive and boring. It is a dry tone with very little emotion added on, although what the characters are going through is emotional; the story just doesn’t do it justice.  I am afraid that this story and series was just not for me.
