Blurb: After months of herding undead cattle, Casey Newkirk is ready for a little relaxation. Too bad Mullentown isn’t exactly a relaxing place for a vampire. Even setting foot in town is risky, but a chance meeting with a stranger makes the risk worthwhile. Vance Bellamy is obviously dangerous, very enticing, and unafraid of flirting with a bloodsucker. For Vance, the threat of being bitten only heightens the thrill of taking Casey to bed. As the saying goes, only fools kiss cowboys, but Vance is content to be a fool.

Sex with Vance opens up a new world for Casey. He can’t leave Mullentown, even if locals and law enforcement conspire to drive Casey’s kind away. Vance can rescue Casey from a bind or two, sure, but he’s not welcome either. With the sheriff breathing down his neck, plus a murderous brother trying to redress old wrongs, Vance has no time for a doting vampire.

But when Casey crosses one line too many and sets the law after him, fate drives them together again. And when Vance’s brother makes his move, Vance might just need some rescuing of his own.

Review: After finishing a cattle drive Casey, a vampire, ends up in a town where the undead are not welcome. He encounters Vance at a saloon and soon is enraptured with the man. But Vance is deadly and has secrets of his own.

I loved the interactions between these two. The way they both came to the others rescue was sweet.

This is a well written this story draws you into the wild west and never lets go.

The sheriff and Vance’ brother added extra elements of danger to the mix.

Enjoyable read.

Blurb: Jamie comes to his high school reunion on a mission: show everyone that the scared kid who was picked on for being gay has grown up into a sexy, confident lawyer. Maybe then, he’ll finally shake his fear of not fitting in.

Nick, once the worst of Jamie’s bullies, has an agenda too. He’s looking for Jamie…to apologize.

Though a stint in the army left Nick injured, humbled, and without a clear plan for his future, Jamie’s skeptical that Nick has changed. Still, he doesn’t fight the new sexual charge between them, even though his submissive tendencies and Nick’s dominance seem like a recipe for high school all over again. A one-night stand with his former tormenter seems like just the thing to put the past behind him, but when he tries to walk away in the morning, he doesn’t get very far.

He and Nick both are snatched by a band of werewolves and told they have a supernatural bond. Nick can see the supernatural world and Jamie…well, Jamie’s apparently a kelpie.

Dismayed, Jamie fights their bond and their new reality, still believing Nick isn’t trustworthy. Nick’s determined to prove Jamie wrong and keep him safe. The combative supernatural world has them tightly in its grip; Nick and Jamie, though, have only each other to hold on to.

Review: I have to admit that this story surprised the hell out of me. It caught my attention from page one and kept it all the way to the end. The story line has a mixture of love, hate, pain, danger and a bit of tears. It has twist and turns that you would not believe possible. It had an amazing plot to it. I think I have found another story that I can’t wait to read more and more. It is my first story of this author and I can say that Nessa Vincent caught my attention with it.

Each man had his strengths and his weaknesses. Jamie is gentle, loving, and very kind but his heart has been hurt before especially by the one man growing up he had a crush on. Nick had been absolutely horrible to Jamie and had come back to apologies to him. Then after one night together, their world as they knew it was changed forever. Nick after getting out of the army injured and sad, he finds his way to Jamie only to realize he truly loved this man. Nick is kind, gentle, loving, and very loyal to those he loves and trust. What made this story amazing was the twist of the paranormal parts to it. Trying to trust Nick was very hard for Jamie, as was believing that they were mates.

It had its serious parts, but this story was quite funny.

Blurb: Bad boy Billy walks into Cameron’s yoga class and changes everything. Their one-night stand lets Cameron experience a side of himself he never gets to show, and Billy thinks the sweet, open-minded yoga teacher is the perfect man to drag him out of his funk. But it feels perfect for a reason: they’re counterparts, and their hookup makes them part of the supernatural world–where there’s a war on.

Cyril Soldati’s attempts to take over the supernatural world are getting harder for anyone to ignore, least of all Billy and Cameron. Cyril’s henchman chases them to Zephyr Ranch, but even there, trouble won’t leave them alone. Someone is trying to break down the ranch’s defenses, and Billy is named as a suspect. Cameron gets caught in the middle; as little as he wants to believe Billy is a spy, he has to wonder if Billy’s devil-may-care persona hides something darker. After all, Cameron has secrets of his own.

As safety gets harder to come by, Cameron and Billy’s love must overcome their doubts. But even that may not be enough to save everyone, not when Cyril comes knocking.

Review: Now here is a book that started out nicely and before it was over left me thinking “what is the point of this” again…

Billy and Cameron meet in a yoga class. Billy has issues and is clearly the guy that won’t even try to be polite or sugar coat anything, while Cameron is sweet and calm, always wanting to help anyone in need.

As Billy is trying to drown his bitterness in some alcohol at a bar, he notices that Cameron is there, out of all places, and one thing leads to another and our guys end up in a hot and intense one-night stand. You’d think that was it, but it’s just the beginning. Their tryst activated their bond (they are soulmates) and that bond activated their true existence. A stranger out of nowhere informs them they are part of the supernatural world and Cameron is a seer while Billy and adept that can shape shift.

So here, we have a huge chunk of information dropped like a bomb out of nowhere. Not only our pair has to reconcile with the fact that they are soulmates, but before they get to wrap their head our anything the fight begins. Trying to overcome your cynicism, trying to trust in your feelings and your counterpart, trying to believe complete stranger all the while supernatural beings are trying to chomp your head off, well it should have been fun right.

If only this plot made sense though. But it didn’t most of the time. The why’s and the how’s were never answered and while the scenes between the couple were decent enough and quite hot at times, the action was just hazy.

I was frustrated with Fitz and Eli and how their thing was left hanging. I was frustrated with R.C. and the fact that his abilities were left unexplained in addition to the fact that he only opened doors to his house and Eli’s house. I mean if he wanted to escape Cyril, why didn’t he call for help from all that extended family, or why didn’t he open a door somewhere else? And what about our guys, what sort of powers did they have?

In the end, what could have been a nice read turned to a big mess of questions in my head and I really dislike questions after I’ve read a book. It was not wholesome and it didn’t left me satisfied at all.
