Blurb: We’re getting the band back together.

Those five words send a chill down Miki St. John’s spine, especially when they’re spoken with a nearly religious fervor by his brother-in-all-but-blood, Damien Mitchell. However, those words were nothing compared to what Damien says next.

And we’re going on tour.

When Crossroads Gin hits the road, Damien hopes it will draw them closer together. There’s something magical about being on tour, especially when traveling in a van with no roadies, managers, or lovers to act as a buffer. The band is already close, but Damien knows they can be more—brothers of sorts, bound not only by familial ties but by their intense love for music.

As they travel from gig to gig, the band is haunted by past mistakes and personal demons, but they forge on. For Miki, Damie, Forest, and Rafe, the stage is where they all truly come alive, and the music they play is as important to them as the air they breathe.

But those demons and troubles won’t leave them alone, and with every mile under their belts, the band faces its greatest challenge—overcoming their deepest flaws and not killing one another along the way.

Review: This was my first time reading this series, so when I was given this story to read I had to go grab the others. I was pretty damn glad that I had otherwise I would have been lost as hell. Rhys has suddenly become an author that I will be keeping an eye on for future books. I have never really been a fan of stories that involve bands, but only because they just seem to not to click with me as much as they should have. I can honestly say that this is not the case with these stories. Even though there is humor to them, there is more of a serious tone to them that make what has happened to these characters stand out more.

Each of the band members have been through some troublesome times and have slowly came to where they should be when they meet the ones meant for them. They start to heal and grow together as a family and as a band. That doesn’t mean that it will be all roses and sun shines though.

The guys are going to leave their men behind in this one so that they can come together better than they have been. This is more due to Damien pushing them to do this. More to bond with each other better. Even though it has them altogether it is more about Miki. Even though he has been through so much, this will make his relationship stronger with both Damien and Kane. Damien is a kind of adopted brother to Miki. This journey will be bringing up a lot of their past and memories will be heightened. It is a very emotional time for them all.

I actually loved the fact that Kane is a detective and is so protective. This book had more twists and turns that I had not really expected, but loved all the same. The mystery that is inside this amazing story was a great hit also. Which told me that it was a good thing that I had went and read the others, before reading this story otherwise I would have been extremely lost.

The only downside to this story was the ending. I have never really liked cliff hangers or being left with questions so I wanted to smack Rhys by the time I got to it. I found myself loving the guys a bit more after each word. They have their tender and fragile side to them, but they also have the strength to continue to fight not only for themselves but for the ones they love.

I loved how this author created a world that you would swear you were in the whole entire time. It is fully developed and the detail was out of this world. The characters were fresh, vivid and absolutely beautiful. Their emotions were felt all the way to one’s soul. It was a world that I wished I had belonged to.

I absolutely loved this story and can guarantee that you will also. It was a blast to read and I would definitely recommend it. I can’t wait to see what the next story will bring.

Blurb: It isn’t easy being a Morgan. Especially when dead bodies start piling up and there’s not a damned thing you can do about it.
Quinn Morgan never quite fit into the family mold. He dreamed of a life with books instead of badges and knowledge instead of law—and a life with Rafe Andrade, his older brothers’ bad boy friend and the man who broke his very young heart.

Rafe Andrade returned home to lick his wounds following his ejection from the band he helped form. A recovering drug addict, Rafe spends his time wallowing in guilt, until he finds himself faced with his original addiction, Quinn Morgan—the reason he fled the city in the first place.

When Rafe hears the Sinners are looking for a bassist, it’s a chance to redeem himself, but as a crazed murderer draws closer to Quinn, Rafe’s willing to sacrifice everything—including himself—to keep his quixotic Morgan safe and sound.

Review: Where there is a Morgan, trouble is likely not far behind.
Quinn Morgan is the odd man out when it comes to his very loud, very large Irish Catholic family. His father is a high-ranking official with the police department, most of his siblings, of which there are many, are cops as well. There is the black sheep that became a fireman, teenage rebellion and the need to be different from his brothers and sisters. But Quinn, he has always had trouble trying to find his own place in this world.

The one thing that kept him grounded, centered as a youth was Rafe Andrade. The two always shared a bond, so when Rafe took his leave to recognize his dream of being a Rock Star, it affected Quinn and not in a good way.

Rafe Andrade is a transplant Morgan, again, one of many. Brigid and Donal Morgan, the matriarchs of this large Irish family, are fierce, loyal and loving; not only with their own brood, but with their children’s friends and partners as well. And while Donal is a force to be reckoned with, you do not want to piss off the five foot tall red-headed Irish woman who is Brigid Morgan. When Rafe took off for greener pastures, losing his way and making some devastating mistakes, the Morgan’s welcomed him back with open arms.

But Rafe has continued to struggle with his past mistakes, and the one that has torn him apart most was walking away from Quinn.

As with all the books in this series, I am in love with the Irish baroque, the camaraderie between brothers and friends, and the unwavering commitment they all have to each other. Even if some of them do their damnedest to state otherwise, Yes Mickie, I’m talking to you! A few twists with this story, the usual form of threat for the family is changed up and I honestly didn’t even see the threat to Quinn as what it turned out to be.

Also, Brigid gets caught in the crossfire of another Morgan catastrophe, and I tell you what, watching all these big, brooding, alpha males cower in the wake of Brigid being hurt, it was very moving. She is the glue that holds them all together, and you have not seen anything yet to prepare you for the level of pissed off when someone accidentally hits mama.

Of course it’s a wild ride, there is a lot of passion and emotions run high, that’s par for the course with this group. What is different, are the characters and their struggles. I really enjoy it when an author continues to evolve and show variety for a series that is going in a specific direction. Change it up. Give the reader something new and fresh to keep you chomping at the bit for more.

Once Quinn and Rafe stop fighting the pull to each other, get past the past, and ignore all the Morgan men that are warning them off each other, Katie bar the door!

Must read series, I highly recommend it; it’s a series where I’ve read the different books multiple times myself. You have to read them in order though or you’ll miss a lot of character interaction and won’t understand some of the things that are said or insinuated throughout.

I hope we get at least one more book in this series, there are still a few loose threads to be neatly cut and folded. Now I will just sit back and wait for the audio, I cannot wait for Tristan James to sink his teeth into Rafe and Quinn!
