Blurb: Sometimes the wild doesn’t call; it screams.

Ryan Miller works at an IT Helpdesk by day, but his nights have become filled with wild dreams, so vivid that they leave him drenched and hungry. He’s losing his grip, and the only thing he can cling to is the predator’s eyes he remembers every morning.

Sauri Whitepaw is a wolf on the run. Exiled by his pack, badly wounded, he flees to the only territory not patrolled by shifters: the human city at the foot of the mountains. It is a frightening place his people have never seen up close, but if he is to survive another night he must dive into it head first.

When Ryan and Sauri’s paths cross, Ryan sees the primal stranger from his dreams and the foundations of his world are shattered. Can Ryan accept his new life and the Alpha Sauri was born to become?

Review: This is a cute little story that has great potential however this one is missing something for me to truly fall in love with. It has a mixture of seriousness, humor and something I can’t put a name to. The characters are a great start although I did have difficulties with Sauri. I just can’t believe how someone can be so clueless to the way life is. It just was not believable to me at all. It is a great little fantasy though.

Sauri was slow in shifting and once he did, he made the mistake of challenging his alpha. He lost of course and he was forced out of the pact. He doesn’t know what life is like outside of the forest and is shocked by many things. He had not even known what showers were or cars. However, when he saw a human almost hurt by a car, he knew he had found his mate.

Ryan on the other hand didn’t even know he was a shifter, so that part of his life was a mystery. He knew that he wanted Sauri but wasn’t too sure the guy was even sane. Especially when he started talking about werewolves. To men new to the surprises of life find in themselves the love they can have for each other.

This story was just not it for me. It was too unbelievable to me. I did like it and think that it could make a great series but the way it is right now I am not too sure about it. The fact that in the time it is that Sauri did not even know what showers were is just kooky. And how does Ryan not know what he is. It does have great potential though.

I would recommend reading this book if you love shifters, werewolves, sexy men and a bit of attitude.
