Part Four

“Yes, the glory hole.”

“Chief, do you know what guys do with glory holes?” I couldn’t help but tease him at least a little bit.

“Yes,” he snapped. “Men put their cocks through it so they can get sucked off. I’m not a saint, for fuck’s sake.”

I put my hands up in surrender. “Just making sure you’re on top of things so you know what’s happening.”

“I’m not an idiot,” he replied. “I just think you’re more qualified to interview the witness.”

My temper rose. “Why? Because I’m queer?”

Brunson’s eyes widened. “No. Well, not really.”

“Because I used to be a slut and frequent places like this?”

He glared at me. “Detective Flesh, I have never treated you differently because you’re gay or because you used to sleep around. Not even when your promiscuity interfered with the job.”

Brunson was referring to my being framed for a murder I didn’t commit because I’d had an affair with a married televangelist.  He was right, Brunson had supported me and before that he’d mentored me on the job. I took a deep breath and calmed myself.

“Sorry about that, Chief, you’re right. I probably am the most qualified to ask the questions.”

He put a hand on my shoulder and squeezed. “I didn’t mean anything by it, I swear.”

I shook my head. “Forget it. Where is this witness?”

Brunson pointed behind me. “In the office.”

We strolled to a small room where there were two men. One wore an expensive suit and leaned against the side of a desk and the other was in a pair of sweatpants and a black T-shirt. The second man sat in a chair, leaning forward with his face in his hands.

“Mr. Genovese,” Brunson said. “This is Detective Flesh. He has a few questions for you.”

The guy sat back and wrung his hands. His knee bounced rapidly. I grabbed a chair, pulled it close to him and pulled out a notepad. “Can you tell me what you saw?”

He blinked quickly and eyed Brunson and the other guy. “Ummm….”

I looked at Brunson. “This might work better with privacy, chief.”

He nodded, motioned toward the suit and they exited, shutting the door behind them.

“What’s your first name, Mr. Genovese?”

“Theo,” he answered.

I noted the ring on his finger.

“Are you married?”

He spun the ring and nodded. “I love my wife, but sometimes I just want to be with a guy. I’m not gay. Bi, I guess. I prefer women, but have cravings.”

“You do not have to explain anything, Theo,” I assured him. “I’m not here to expose your secrets to your wife. I just want to know about the robbery.”

He inhaled deep and slowly exhaled. “I was in the last booth. The one with the…”

“The glory hole. I know.” I smiled, trying to let him know I understood the appeal of anonymous sex. Before Colby, quickie encounters were the only type of sex I engaged in.

Theo eyed me for a moment before nodding. “Yeah, I’d been hanging out in the booth for a good thirty minutes before a guy went into the other one. He got right to the point and stuck his dick through the hole. I sucked him off, swallowed but got some on my shirt.” He pointed to a white mark on his dark shirt.

“Not that I can’t appreciate a good BJ story,” I said, “but what does this have to do with the robbery.”

“The guy I sucked off is the guy who robbed the place.”

Holy shit!

The next part of the story will be at lovebytesreviews

About Ethan

Ethan Stone Avatar_ES 300X300Ethan Stone is an out and proud gay man. Which is fairly new in his life, the out part, not the gay part. He’s been queer his whole life, though he tried to deny it for years with a wonderful woman. The years in denial weren’t all bad, he has two amazing kids out of it. His son is a teenager and his daughter has made him a grandfather, three times over. A way too young grandfather.

Ethan has returned to Oregon after almost a decade in Nevada. He no longer has a day job and is doing his best to make a living at this writing thing. If he can’t make a living, he at least wants to support his Mt. Dew and beef jerky addictions.

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Cristian Flesh’s past is about to rear its ugly head as Cristian investigates a local man who was attacked by a hustler, a local man that Cristian knows only too well. Lies, Deceit and underage prostitution are just the tip of the iceberg as witnesses begin to turn up dead and someone is making sure nobody will talk. Facing the past has Cristian realizing that he has to move forward if he wants his relationship with Colby to survive, but to do that he has to first confront the monster who started it all.

Flesh & Blood is the second instalment of Flesh, a Cristian Flesh story and you really need to read the first book In the Flesh to fully appreciate Cristian’s unique personality. Cristian is a guy who is blatant in his honesty when it comes to his sex life, he kept other things close to his chest but sex was not one of them and when he met Colby his whole view on sex was rocked; his relationship with Colby is now going strong. But one of his cases is dragging his past back to life but Cristian is determined that it won’t affect him. Digging into the seedy dealings of local rich businessmen has Cristian confronting the past as his relationship with Colby becomes affected. Colby is a huge support as Cristian digs into his investigation, but even Colby can only take so much before the strain begins to show and it’s made worse when Colby realizes that he can’t stand the ethics at his law firm.

This is another excellent story from Ethan Stone, he gives us a story that delves into underage male prostitution and ties it loosely to Cristian’s past, it’s a fantastic way for us finally getting the full story on Cristian’s past, all those little remarks and vague hints are fully revealed and it only makes you admire the man that Cristian has become. The mystery side of the storyline is brilliantly woven, we follow closely along as Cristian investigates and then suddenly *boom* a shocking revelation which leaves you slightly open mouthed as you wonder if anyone but Cristian could have pieced those suspicions together *shakes head* just incredible.

Now, I know as you read this story that there are many characters who you’d like to get in a dark alley with some pliers, a corkscrew and a scalpel, but please refrain yourself because the biggest bastard of all is closer to the end and you don’t want to burn out too early… Yes the dark underbelly really is that slimy but Ethan Stone does it in such a way that it doesn’t make you cringe, no it makes you mad and want to hunt them down like the scum they are… or maybe that’s just me 😉

This story is all mystery, suspense and hot sex, Colby and Cristian are hot! Hot! Hot! There are some scenes between Colby and Cristian that are more intimate, sharing and touching but damn those sexy scenes just seem to linger in your mind. Yet again we are blessed with some strong characters that make this story solid, we meet Gabe again as he tries to help out a friend and Cristian. I’d like to say that everything comes up roses but Ethan Stone threw in a twist that has you gasping in shock and discreetly wiping a tear away, and the very last sentence OMG!!!!

So I recommend this to those who love darker grittier mysteries and suspense stories, who adore flawed but interesting characters, who love relationships that aren’t perfect love stories and men who will see justice served.
