Scott knows his boring day is over the second a bloody and scared George Kelvin crashes into his office, claiming people are trying to kill him. He knows he should pass the case over to one of his brothers, but he can’t seem to do it. The strength and resilience of the man mixed with a quirky sense of humor fascinate him. He may be a human in the company of powerful shifters, but he’s just as deadly and well trained as the rest of his brothers.

With devious CIA agents, foreign forces gunning for what George possesses and George’s power-hungry father, who is also Deputy Director of the FBI, Scott begins to wonder if he’s bitten off more than he can chew.

George always knew his father was dangerous and cruel. However, he never thought that those titles would inadequately sum up the lengths his father is willing to go to, to get what he wants. The only chance he has is using whatever is on file against his father. Staying alive to do that is another challenge. When he runs into the Shifter Protection Specialists, Inc. office, he’s desperate, but isn’t convinced anyone can protect him from his father. Risking more than he’d thought possible, he discovers that maybe he is more than he’s always been taught to believe.

One thing is for certain—his father is not going to give up easily.

Review:  Each book in the Shifter Protection Specialists Inc. collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I started reading romance stories at the age of twelve and was always intriqued by the worlds that authors can come up with. Then a few years ago I read my first gay romance and I decided that there was just something about them that I liked more.  There is just something about the worlds that this author creates that keeps me captivated throughout the whole entire book. So much so that when a new book comes out, I must always start reading the very first book that leads up to this one.

I love how there is a serious tone to it, but that it is equally matched with humor. I can’t stand a book that has no humor in it; I would rather be laughing then just sitting there.   There is always lust, love, hot sex and a good amount of danger placed in these stories that keeps my attention as well.

George’s brother had given him a flash drive that might just get him killed by his own father.  So after many twists and turns, he ends up going to find the bodyguards a friend told him about.  He needed help and fast.  I am going to take a page from a friend; George’s father is a seriously evil man who hated shifters.  Even with his father gunning for him, he still comes off as a smart ass.  However the man staring at him might just like that smart ass.

Scott is surrounded by shifters but he is the only one that can’t shift.  His older brother founded this company and Scott ran it as best he could.  He had many shifter brothers who worked with him.  So when this very sexy man ran in, something in him snapped.  Not to mention the fact that the guy was downright terrified.

To me there is nothing better than a good romance, but when it is a paranormal then it hits higher marks to me. I love them especially when there are some gorgeous men in some kinky situations. I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series that you can’t put down and have to read more than once. It is the perfect story for me and gave me all that I needed. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story.

I had a blast reading it and I can’t wait to read the next story.
